Peaceful retreat

The property being adjacent to the rock formations was so unique and a beautiful setting with plenty of desert flora as well. There was a lot of outdoor seating providing for different views. There was a cute bunny that hopped around the area a few times. The bathtub in one of the bathrooms was also adjacent to rock formations outside making for a cool view. It was about a 15 minute drive to the West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park.

Truly an Oasis of calm

Everything you need for a home away from home! With the massive bonus of incredible views, amazing wild life, a magical pool and the peace & tranquility you will struggle to find anywhere else. Totally enjoyed our stay, the only regret was not have booked a longer stay - have a feeling there will be a next time :)

Stunning home in a quiet desert setting!

Wonderful stay in Joshua Tree. The house is great for families and friends as the rooms are spread out for privacy. Very clean and well organized and Veronica was always quick to reply to any questions I had. If you are looking for a peaceful desert get a way this is the place!

Amazing landscaping in convenient and private Joshua Tree location

The landscaping on the property is amazing. There are two large bedrooms and one small bedroom that just fits a twin bed. The property has a great view of the valley and numerous outdoor seating options. The house itself is older but the bathrooms have been renovated. We had a great stay!

Magical place in Joshua Tree

This place is an absolute must. From the moment you drive up, everything from the outdoor landscape to the house decor has been well-maintained and designed to give you a wonderful experience. All of the stonework and detail of the interior design is incredibly charming, with a warm fireplace to snuggle up in front of at the end of the night. Every major room has a split heater/AC unit, so the temperature always stays comfortable. The grounds are amazing to walk around with plenty of cactus and stony mountains to admire. Not to mention the incredible bathtub with a relaxing nature view. They even thoughtfully included a privacy wall to make sure nobody's privacy was intruded upon. Super cool. Communication with the host was superb, but to be honest we didn't need to communicate that much because everything about the stay was so well-maintained and organized. Our only regret is that we didn't book our stay for longer! Truly an incredible place. When we come back to Joshua Tree this will definitely be our go-to.

Best desert today

This is one of the most idyllic and gorgeous properties I have ever stayed at. The desert surrounding is in chanting. The property is well appointed, and at the pool, spa are wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We hope to return!

Desert Nostalgia

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here. We spent two nights quietly unwinding, swimming, marvelling at the garden, listening to the summer winds. We loved everything about Rockbound Oasis and hope very much that we can return again one day. Thank you so much Veronica and team!

Magical family stay

Our family stayed here for a couple nights over Spring Break. What a beautiful spot and cool house! We had everything we needed and it we appreciated all the communication from Veronica. Highly recommend!

Truly a desert oasis

We loved our stay at this property. It's private but not remote. Access to necessities was easy but we didn't really need much since the host provided everything we needed. Veronica, our host was absolutely amazing! Very prompt with responses and, while the jacuzzi and the heater in one of the rooms did not work during our stay, she did everything possible to make the necessary repairs and make our stay comfortable. She gets a 5 star too since she was part of our 5 star experience!

Fantastic stay in Joshua Tree

Our family of four had a great time at Rockbound Oasis. The property exceeded our expectations. Everything worked as described and we had everything we needed for our stay. Veronica is a wonderful host and the communication was always excellent. The sunrises and views from the property are spectacular. The location of the house is great. It feels secluded and it's very quiet. It's a very short drive to Joshua Tree NP and the drive to Palm Springs is only about 45 min. We highly recommend this property!

Nature that will take your breath away

This property is truly unique, tucked up in a rocky cirque, awesome views in all directions, soak in the tub and watch/listen for coyotes, ringtail cats, owls, and lots of rabbits. If you decide to explore the west entrance to the national park is a short drive away, the village of Joshua tree is worth a walk around - good wine, healthy food choices, and a great desert apothecary if you need some lux lotion or soap to wash off the desert dust

Even better than expected

Like staying in a botanical garden!

Absolutely stunning property! The grounds are like a botanical garden. The home is inviting with so many beautiful nooks to tuck away in and enjoy the solitude. If you are driving a class B motorhome you will not fit through the driveway gate/driveway bushes. We parked the van down at the Sportsman’s club which worked out fine as we had a second vehicle.

Wonderful place!

This is a beautiful property, the location is perfect if you want to get away and off-the -grid for a while (there is still TV, cell reception and solid Wi-Fi!!!). Veronica made sure that everything is in place and had great communication. One of our most pleasant experiences resting via VRBO.

Rockbound is an Oasis

So you've looked at the pictures. Place seems nice. But is it? That's the big question. Well, this place will meet and exceed your expectations. Firstly, communication with the owner is excellent. Any questions you might have are answered quickly and efficiently. Next, the place has everything. We stayed in August and really enjoyed the spa and pool. But, as the home has a wood-burning fireplace I would have been happy in December (bring your own wood). Kitchen is well equipped (we prepared two breakfasts and dinners there). Bedrooms are on either side of the house so you feel a good sense of privacy. Beds are comfortable. Also, for a small surcharge there is a casita on property perfect for another couple. We truly enjoyed the views of the nearby rock hills, the gas fire pit at night and access to Joshua Tree Park (practically empty in August). We would love to return. You will truly enjoy your stay.

Spectacular Dessert Oasis

Rockbound Oasis is a beautiful property set high on a hill with expansive views of the valley below. My family (ages 5-65) absolutely enjoyed our time in the clean, comfortable and relaxing property. The house is well stocked with all the amenities we needed for a fabulous stay. It was wonderful to have Joshua Tree National Park only a short drive away. My kids loved the pool and climbing on the boulders was better than any playground equipment. Veronica is great a communicating and you can tell she and Jon put a lot of thought into all the details needed to make the house ready for their guests. We highly recommend staying at this amazing property.

Incredible stay!

We so enjoyed our time here! I only wish it was longer :) The property is just like the photos, maybe even better! There was a ton of space to roam and explore. Lots of places to sit down - inside & out - which I think makes a great home! We enjoyed the fire pit, lounging by the pool, the hanging hammock chair, patio and much more! Inside the decor is so fabulous. If you love a good midcentury home, but with all the modern touches of comfort you will LOVE this place. Feast for the eyes! The beds were great - my daughter said she would come back just to sleep in the bed again - "best sleep of her life!!!". Our kids were a bit old for all the family friendly touches but if you had small kids I could see this being a great place to have an adventure but still be able to manage with little ones. We did enjoy making popsicles with the homemade holders and playing dominos though! The location is great to the national park, just a few minutes away. You are a bit "out of town" but I think that is kind of the point! Fabulous place and great hosts!
