THE SPACE



Solara Mesa was built from the ground up as a modern desert retreat, with clean architecture, comfortable interiors, and an outdoor setting designed to make the landscape part of the stay. Each of the three bedrooms features a king-size bed. The primary suite adds its own en-suite full bathroom and Smart TV, while a second full bathroom serves the rest of the home. In the living room, a sofa bed provides additional sleeping flexibility alongside a Smart TV and electric fireplace. The fully equipped kitchen and open living spaces keep the interior easy and functional, but the property's real character reveals itself outside: one private acre framed by desert and mountain views, with no neighboring house in sight.

OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE



The backyard is where Solara Mesa turns a Joshua Tree stay into a full desert escape. Start the day by the pool, stretch out beneath the cabanas, recharge in the sauna after exploring, or turn the afternoon into a little friendly competition with mini golf, bocce, and oversized chess. Later, fire up the BBQ, settle into the outdoor lounge, and gather around the built-in fire pit as the desert and mountain views change with the light. With an acre of privacy around you, the outdoors feels less like an amenity and more like your own corner of the High Desert.



GOOD TO KNOW



BBQ GRILL



Our BBQ grill runs on propane gas, which we provide, so there’s no need to bring your own.



POOL HEATING



Pool heating is available with at least 24 hours' notice and can reach up to 85°F. The fee is $180/day from May through September and $250/day from October through April. Pool and spa heating cannot operate simultaneously.



SPA



Spa use is included at no additional charge.



PETS



Up to two dogs are welcome with a $100 fee per pet, per stay. All pets must be disclosed before arrival.



PARKING



Free on-site parking is available in the driveway/designated parking area. Street parking is not permitted.



POOL SERVICE



Routine pool service takes place Mondays and Thursdays. The technician accesses the outdoor area only.



DELIVERIES



Packages cannot be accepted at the property. Please use a local post office hold or nearby package locker service if needed.



IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW



We want every guest to enjoy Solara Mesa safely while helping us keep the home in great condition. Please review the following before booking.



PARTIES, EVENTS & EXTRA GUESTS



Parties and events are not permitted. The home accommodates a maximum of 8 guests. Please disclose visitors or additional overnight guests in advance. A $50 per person fee applies to undisclosed overnight guests.



POOL & SPA SAFETY



Children under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times while using or being near the pool and spa. No diving or glass is permitted in the pool area. Please use the pool and spa responsibly and at your own risk.



PETS & POOL



Pets are not permitted in the pool or spa. Guests are responsible for their pets at all times, including any damage or additional cleaning caused during the stay. For their safety around cactus and desert wildlife, pets should remain leashed and supervised while outside.



DESERT WILDLIFE



Solara Mesa is located in a natural High Desert environment. Insects, rodents, snakes, spiders, and other wildlife may occasionally be encountered. Please keep doors closed when possible and remain aware of your surroundings. Encounters with wildlife or insects that are part of the natural desert environment are not grounds for a refund.



PLUMBING & SEPTIC SYSTEM



Solara Mesa uses a septic system. Only toilet paper may be flushed. Improper use resulting in clogged or damaged plumbing may result in a $200 repair fee.



NO SMOKING



Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted inside the property or within 15 feet of exterior doors. Failure to follow this policy may result in a $100 additional cleaning fee.



SECURITY CAMERAS



In accordance with insurance company requirements, exterior security cameras monitor the front and rear entrance areas for guest and property safety. All security cameras are located outside the property. There are no cameras inside the home. Cameras may not be tampered with, covered, or disabled during your stay.



PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & COMMERCIAL USE



Personal photos and videos are welcome, and you're welcome to tag @visithideaway. Drones are not permitted. Professional, promotional, commercial, or revenue-generating photography and filming require prior written approval and may be subject to production fees. Unauthorized commercial shoots may result in reservation cancellation, a $5,000 violation fee, and applicable production fees. If you're unsure whether your shoot qualifies as commercial use, please contact us before booking.



LATE CHECK-OUT



Check-out is at 11:00 AM. Guests who remain at the property after 11:05 AM will be charged a $75 late check-out fee for every 30 minutes past the check-out time.



DAMAGES



Accidents happen. If anything is damaged, broken, or seriously stained during your stay, please let us know as soon as possible so our team can assist. Guests are responsible for damage resulting from misuse or failure to follow property guidelines.



Guest Access:

You'll have private access to the entire home and its guest amenities during your stay. The property uses a smart lock. Your access code will be sent before arrival and will activate at check-in time.



The Neighborhood:

Solara Mesa is located in Joshua Tree, approximately 20 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park. You'll have easy access to the park, local restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and other High Desert experiences, while still returning to a private setting away from neighboring homes.



Getting Around:

A car is recommended for exploring the area.
