6/10 Soddisfacente

Stayed at West Coast Trail Lodge in Aug 2025 as a family (two adults, two kids in a deluxe room with kitchenette). It was a solid "pretty good", which is more or less exactly what we expected.
PROS: Really nice location and scenic grounds with the north-facing "front" rooms offering a view of Port San Juan. The Beach Camp coffee truck on site has AMAZING coffee (and the owner is pretty cool). Rooms was stocked with usual hotel coffee / tea, refrigerator & microwave. It was nice and clean, had ample hot water and was a 3 minute walk to the Renfrew Pub - the main restaurant in town (and I think owned by the same company).
CONS: They try to do an Air B&B-style check in and automate the process so you don't have to talk to staff. While I get how this could be useful, the process didn't really work for us... I didn't receive any check-in details via e-mail, and the front desk staff seemed annoyed when I came in to guest services in-person. After a circular discussion about a check-in e-mail I didn't receive, I was given a check-in paper (but no check-out info). I didn't receive the check-out e-mail until after we left, and it was different from the information posted in the room.
Other trivial things were that the TV was very slow (probably due to a full hotel & limited bandwidth), beds were hard and the kitchenette sink tap was broken. These were minor things that weren't
