Welcome to Wild Moon Ranch and Restore Outpost, a mountaintop getaway near Julian and Lake Cuyamaca. This stay brings together our three-bedroom cabin, a separate Airstream, and a wellness deck with a sauna, cold plunge, and space for yoga.

Play pickleball with mountain views, unwind in the cabin’s cedar hot tub, then head to Restore Outpost for a sauna session or yoga overlooking the lake. With two distinct places to settle in, there’s room to gather and room to retreat.


You’ll have self check-in and privacy throughout your stay. Our team is available by message if you need anything or would like local recommendations.


Wild Moon Ranch sits on two secluded acres at the top of a mountain in the Cuyamaca range. There are no visible neighbors, just sweeping views, wildlife, starry skies, and the kind of quiet that lets you truly slow down. Lake Cuyamaca is minutes away for hiking, fishing, and kayaking, while Julian’s shops and famous apple pies are about a 20-minute drive.

Your reservation includes private access to both Wild Moon Ranch and Restore Outpost: the cabin, Airstream, wellness deck, sauna, cold plunge, cedar hot tub, pickleball court, and outdoor gathering areas. You’ll have self check-in, and we’ll send your arrival instructions and door code before your stay. Driveway parking is available for five or more cars.


Wild Moon Ranch sits on two acres at 5,400 feet, with panoramic mountain views and sunsets that make it hard to go inside. With no visible neighbors, sweeping views, and complete silence, it feels like a true escape.

THE CABIN

The 1,300-square-foot, two-story cabin has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a game room with shuffleboard, air hockey, ping pong, a Smart TV, and a popcorn machine. Outside, enjoy the private pickleball court, cedar hot tub, deck with BBQ, and plenty of places to take in the views.

Cabin sleeping arrangements:

• Lower-level bedroom: full bed and twin bed
• Game room: queen sofa bed

RESTORE OUTPOST

Restore Outpost is our new wellness space, just steps from the cabin and private to your group.

The traditional sauna has glass doors facing the mountains. Ladle water over the stones for steam and watch the sunset from the bench. The barrel cold plunge is a few steps away, with an outdoor shower right beside it, so you can move straight from heat to cold and back again. Lounge chairs give you a place to rest between rounds.

In front of the Airstream, a spacious deck with open views of Lake Cuyamaca is made for yoga, breathwork and sunset meditation. We provide 12 yoga mats for your group.

THE AIRSTREAM

The Airstream has a private queen bedroom with blackout blinds, plus a comfortable L-shaped couch in the living room that converts to a full-size sofa bed. It has a full bathroom, a fully stocked kitchen, a desk, air conditioning and heat, its own Starlink Wi-Fi, and a living room Smart TV. The lake is visible from inside the Airstream, too. Parachute linens, spa robes, plush towels and a Pack 'n Play bring the same thoughtful comfort you'll find in the cabin.

JUST NEED THE CABIN?

For smaller groups, the Wild Moon Ranch cabin can be booked on its own for up to 9 guests, with the pickleball court, cedar hot tub and game room. That option does not include the sauna, cold plunge, outdoor shower, yoga deck or Airstream. Restore Outpost is only available with this whole-property listing. You’ll need a car to get here and explore the area. Wild Moon Ranch is about 20 minutes from Julian and just over an hour from San Diego. The final approach follows a winding mountain road, so drive carefully and watch for wildlife, especially after dark. There is driveway parking for five or more cars.

Wild Moon Ranch sits at 5,400 feet, where mountain weather can change quickly. In winter, snow may temporarily cover the pickleball court. We do not shovel or de-ice it, as that can damage the surface.

The two-acre property is not fenced, so please supervise dogs outdoors and be mindful of wildlife. Up to two house-trained dogs are welcome with a $150 pet fee per stay.

From mid-November through mid-January, the cabin is decorated with a Christmas tree and seasonal touches.
