“I loved the convenience of the location to Loyola university. It was walking distance. The host was very nice and responsive. I loved that there were snack and breakfast left out in the kitchen for guest to consume at their leisure. What I did not like was the steep long stairs to get up to the rooms. “This is a very basic option. The room was clean on arrival but not once cleaned in 3 nights 4 days. There is next to no staff, entrance from the outside works with the room key. The place is shockingly ugly even by the standards of these hotels. Aircon is so noisy that it's hard to sleep. For what it offers the price is offensive”

“The staff at the front desk were very nice. What I did not love about my room was that, aside from it being rather small, it was somewhat dusty and not well vacuumed. The bathroom was clean, however. Unfortunately, the bathroom was so small that it was very hard to comfortably use the toilet. And the tub was slippery and small so taking a shower was a bit difficult as well. The Orrington used to be considered one of the better hotels in Evanston, but I was not very impressed with the room.”

“Modern, clean, and cozy with friendly staff. Family-friendly, with options for breakfast and dinner right at the hotel. Stayed in xmas and it was beautiful. Staying now in summer and enjoying it as much. Will be back!”

“This place was very different and unique; a true B&B experience. Parking was difficult, but once we got our spot we used public transportation everywhere. The nearest bus stop and train station are a ten minute walk. After we got our room we were given a tour of the property and told of all the amenities available to us (of which there were several).”
