“Beautiful hotel well situated in downtown KC”

“Pretty hotel and rooms. For how pricey the stay is, we expected a bit more. Apparently they can’t have mini fridges in the room due to their health permit. Room had trash in the ice box left. Cleaning staff tried to clean before our checkout time. They knocked once, gave it no time for us to come to the door, staff proceeded to unlock and open the door. This woke my partner up. There isn’t a peephole/no windows to look out, nor any other locks/door stopper besides the deadbolt, so...

“The staff is excellent, the front desk and the bellman were a blast from the past at the excellent service you come to expect from a Westin. Where it fell short wet the amenities which I’ve been accustomed to in my previous stays. It’s a little thing, but when you pay $400 for a hotel room you expect better than 1 ply toilet paper. Their beds are still the best in the business though. Make sure you bring a step stool if you are shorter than 5’2”. The biggest “miss” was the food service. ...

“The night shift manager was very unhappy every shift. He questioned me on needing 4 clean towels for me & my kids. I drink 1 soda at night & he of course had a comment about that too “Guess you really like soda..” Not sure why I had to tell him that yes, I drink 1 in the evening. That was so odd as well.
