Beautiful Views!

Do not miss out on this beautiful unit. It was very comfortable, well stocked, 6th floor location with both ocean and mountain views. Beds were comfortable, pillows weren’t as amazing. We didn’t have any issues except on a few busy days we couldn’t secure pool towels. Management was over the top on communication. Other than that, I’d rent this unit again!

Great location and views of the ocean!

Great place but 2 items short of a 5 review: 1) no luggage racks provided so had to keep bags open on the floor the whole time, and (2) only a single beach chair in the unit which was no big issue since we don't really sit at the beach but can see it as an issue for a bigger family

Overall Great Experience!

We had a great stay here. It was our second time staying at Honua Kai Resort. We spent the first part of our trip in Kihei but knew we wanted to finish our trip on a high at this resort. The resort was clean, pools were great and having Duke’s restaurant on site was very convenient. The unit itself was clean, contemporary and stocked with all that we needed. Check-in and out were so easy and the property manager was great. They contacted us a couple times before our stay to ensure we were all set for our stay. Overall a great experience!

KBM Hawaii - Honua Kai

Honua Kai was welcoming, comfortable and relaxing. However, the service and support we received from KBM Hawaii was exceptional and contributed greatly to our wonderful stay. Truly believe they held our interest and experience as their primary objective. Amazingly clean and well kept.

Perfect spot for my parents while we had a condo in the ground floor. They had their space and a view and we were all still close enough to spend lots of time as a family. This was the best vacation we have ever had. We rented two condos at Honua kai for 6 adults and 3 kids (3,8,10). There are pools for every age and swim ability. Loved the baby pools. Having the full kitchen was a must! The little store to buy butter, limes..all the things you forget at the store was awesome. There is a large grocery store within walking distance. The beach at the property is awesome and the condos provided everything you need! Floaties, towels, cooler, boogie boards. The beds were comfy and lots of space on the patio to gather. Loved the ground level so the kids could come and go. Wish there were more amenities on the condo-shampoos etc. overall, just a perfect set up. Loved the grills by the pool! A very well maintained property that I would recommend to anyone!

It was dirty the floors were pretty bad dryer doesn't work and no coffee filters and cockroaches

Other than that great location good ambiance great restaurants. Dukes is one of the best restaurants on the island. Would stay again but would hopefully be cleaned better with a welcome cup of coffee and coffee filters.

Great Property, Beautiful Resort

Our family of four - two adults, two teenagers - spent 5 days on Maui at this property and we really enjoyed our stay. We had already spent 6 very active days on the Big Island so we were looking forward to some relaxation and beach time on Maui. This condo was just what we needed. The location, I think, is ideal. The condo is on the outside of the Hokulani building, "facing" the Konea building with a large green area in between. Because of the space and angle between the buildings, I felt this side of the building was much better than the interior properties which look right across at another condo. This property has a great view of the ocean and also a view of the mountains. The only drawbacks, and I think they are minor, is that you do get some highway noise and the wind does blow stronger through the open space than on the interior. The first few days we were there it was really, really windy! We've been to Maui before and don't ever remember it being that windy. It settled down later in the week. The condo has a huge balcony that stretches across the living room and one bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows that fully open. Those windows were open from morning to night. It was just beautiful. The interior of the condo was wonderful, very nicely appointed. The bathrooms were big and beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. The Honua Kai itself is great - the property is very well landscaped and the pools are nice. The pools were a bit smaller and more crowded than other resorts we've been to but our kids are so big we spent most of our time at the beach. The condo came with an umbrella, beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler which we used - great bonus. We will definitely stay at this property and in this condo again!

AMAZING Maui vacation rental!

All I can say is WOW!! The pictures are exactly as this place appears and then some. When you walk in and open the giant glass doors, you are greeted to a magnificent view of Maui and it's neighboring island, Molokai'i. Lanai'i is also visible from the pool and beach area. The condo has everything you could possibly need and if you happen to find something broken or missing, KBM will literally show up that day to fix or replace it. By renting through KBM and not through the resort or other programs, you also get a beach package that includes chairs, an umbrella, beach toys and towels. We ran into several people that rented direct with Honua Kai and they had to rent everything so it's definitely something to keep in mind, especially since the pricing is the same. While shops are restaurants are close by, you do need to drive to get to everything (except Duke's, which we highly recommend dining at during your stay here.) Times market is just across the street and has reasonably priced goods (reasonable for Hawaii that is). We also recommend Slappy Cakes (in the same center) for breakfast. If we ever return to Maui, we will definitely rent this unit through KBM again.

Great kid friendly resort

Vacationing with a 18mo old and 3 year old is more work than fun sometimes but with the 2 different kid pools and plenty of grass to run on our family had a great time!
