The Estate:
Aloha! Welcome to Lanikai Sunrise Estate, a luxury 5 bedroom beachfront estate with direct gated access to world-famous Lanikai beach. The Estate is one of the first homes with sandy beach along Lanikai’s famous shoreline. The sunrises are amazing and our moon rises are a time for celebration and poetic moments.
The Estate easily hosts up to 12 guests in 5 upstairs bedrooms – each with its own bathroom. There are an additional 2 more guest bathrooms downstairs on the first floor as well. We are sometimes able to accommodate smaller families or events so please inquire.
We created this home for you to experience all the natural beauty and health benefits of beachfront living without sacrificing the luxury and convenience of 5-star hotels. We combine breathtaking ocean views, Lanikai beach access, and greater than 5-star hotel levels of materials and design throughout for an incomparable experience that can’t be had anywhere else.
What we think you’ll love about Lanikai Sunrise Estate:
• Beach access through your own private gate: Walk across the Naupaka and Coconut palm lined green lawn to your own gate to Lanikai beach for beach walking, swimming in the gentle waves, snorkeling, and whatever other ocean sports you love.
• New outdoor lounge furniture and a pergola to sit and enjoy relaxing at or a meal while looking out over the ocean and to the Mokulua (twin) islands right off shore.
• Ocean views from every room:
• There are three expansive ocean front suites. Each has its own lanai and overlooks the luscious green yard with 180 degree views of the turquoise Pacific ocean. You can see all the way from the Mokulua islands to Flat island and the Ulupa’u crater.
• Sunrises and moon rises are truly surreal! And the pink, purples and oranges of sunset from the privacy of your lanai can’t be beat.
• Two of the private suites have king beds and one has a queen. Each has its own spa-like en-suite bathroom, with the master having a large soaking tub as well (with views straight out to the ocean through louvred windows).
• Flexible Room Configurations: The fourth bedroom offers a good setup for children or friends with a double bed and a single bed. It has its own bathroom right next to it with a soaking tub, dual vanity and large wet room. The fifth bedroom is a studio suite with its own separate entrance, but connects by a private hall to the rest of the home. It has two queen beds, a wet bar, and its own en-suite bathroom complete with soaking tub and dual vanity. Perfect for a nanny, in-laws, or guests who prefer a more private option. It has partial ocean views, but grand mountain views too.
Most of the bedrooms’ bathrooms have separate toilet spaces for privacy. All toilets are Japanese washlet type with auto-clean features as well.
• Heated Pool, Hot Tub and Tropical Grounds: Unwind with a dip in the private heated pool and soak at the end of a long day in our hot tub. Both are uniquely covered so they don’t get too hot during the day and you can enjoy them all day and night. Pool heating is complementary and provided by our solar powered heat pump with electric battery backup too.
• Living and Dining Spaces: The open-concept main level was designed for connection and comfort. In fact, before renovation, the home had been a large company’s employee retreat, which is why there is so much private space upstairs and so many bathrooms.
But on the first floor, openness reigns and flows between indoor and outdoor living. The chef’s kitchen features high-end appliances, generous counter space, and a large island for casual breakfasts.
There is a separate counter with a cocktail ice maker and two drawer fridges for cocktail prep or just to use the coffee maker for a smooth cup in the morning.
The formal dining table seats ten, and the sunlit living room invites conversation or relaxation with plush seating and sweeping ocean vistas framed by floor-to-ceiling glass.
• Game Room / Den: There is a game room with a large swivel TV for movies too right next to the dining space. It can be closed off with large shoji-like glass panels with ocean vistas on them.
Outdoor Amenities:
• Expansive Lanai: Dine al fresco or enjoy your morning coffee on the shaded lanai, designed for lingering under warm Hawai’ian skies. There is even a hammock to look out over the ocean and the Mokulua Islands while enjoying swaying to the refreshing daily breezes and tradewinds.
• Private Yard and Beach Access: The beautifully manicured lawn offers a serene setting for sunbathing, reading, or simply soaking in the ocean breeze. Follow your personal path directly onto Lanikai Beach, renowned for its calm waters, ideal swimming conditions, and postcard-perfect setting.
Nearby Attractions: Located in the heart of Lanikai, Lanikai Sunrise Estate places you moments from iconic island experiences:
• Lanikai Beach: A world-famous stretch of sand perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and paddleboarding is right outside your sliding doors and backyard. • Lanikai Pillbox Hike: Sweeping views of the Mokulua Islands and Kailua Bay. This property is offered as a monthly rental. Although full-month occupancy is not required, the monthly rate remains fixed and applies in full, regardless of the number of nights stayed, as prorated rates are not available.
