Completely remodeled (August 2020) 2nd floor Oceanfront studio (within feet of the ocean) is located in the Kona Islander Inn complex that extends from Kuakini Hwy to Alii Drive. The beautiful tropical gardens with banana trees, exotic flowers and green lawns surround you as you find your way to the Pool, Jacuzzi, and Barbecue area. You may never want to use your car once you settle in because many of the finest restaurants, great dancing and live entertainment are within a short walk. You are also close to shopping, a farmers market, snorkeling, surfing, fishing, and paddle boarding and many other ocean sports.
The unit has a full size refrigerator and cabinet space for your groceries, but don't over-shop as you are surrounded by great restaurants. You will appreciate the queen size bed both for its comfort and the 8 drawers underneath for your belongings. There is even a space to tuck away your empty suitcase. The sofa has another Queen pullout bed with the latest design for comfort.
You will love sitting on the lanai watching the ocean waves crashing on the rocks, in the distance dolphins, whales, beautiful sunsets and the occasional tourist passing by.
To keep you connected the room has a large TV with cable and high-speed internet and
USB outlets for charging your devices.
The best Covid cleaning standards are used to ensure your safety.

In the heart of Kona

Our host is super responsive to any questions or querries!Although Ali'i Drive is extremely busy, the grounds at Kona Islander Inn always reminds us of Hawaii as it was many years ago! We enjoy the sights/activities along the streets of Kona but appreciate the serenity of the condo and the lush vegetation that is so beautifully maintained!

Cozy

Our stay was wonderful. Location was perfect. Our condo was small but perfect for two people. Check in was simple. Place was clean, but a little dated. I would say the only negatives would be: bed is small (full size mattress), the water never got warmer than lukewarm and there were no dish towels to dry our dishes. Parking was an issue if you came back after 7pm.

Best experience ever

We had an amazing time at this place. It’s right by the water, super walkable with the city around, and such a steal for the price. Also, the hosts let us spend a day out on their personal boat for a fishing trip. If you’re looking for a Kona getaway, we can’t recommend this place highly enough. :)

Lively Ali'i Drive

Lots of action along Ali'i Drive and a beautiful ocean view from our balcony. The hosts were very attentive to anything we needed while staying at their condo, with a very quick response time to any questions. We love the beautiful grounds of the Kona Islander Inn and always appreciate the quiet sanctuary that awaits when you enter the private gate off the busy main drag!

Great location and unit !

We were lucky enough to stay in this suite. The view from the balcony was beautiful and we spent a lot of time there people watching. When we arrived the instructions easily got us into the unit and the front desk was very helpful. The unot was clean and has everything we needed for a short trip. We found a lot of things in the unit which added to our stay. We loved that it was in the heart of Kona and was easily walkable to the shops and restaurant including our favorite Huggo’s happy hour. We would willingly stay here again

Fantastic

Great view, cozy and clean living area. Close to shops and restaurants. Cute balcony with table and chairs for coffee in the am, wine in the pm. Easy to park and check in. We will definitely be back.

Downtown experience

The property is downtown which is great for shopping, and dining which is within walking distance. Can be a bit noisy at times due to the busy street and amount of people out and about. Ocean across the street, loved the sound of the waves! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Nice pool. Parking is a nightmare!!! Not enough spaces for all the guests! Unit does not have a stove. BBQ by the pool. All the staff are friendly, but refer you to the host for any concerns in the unit. We were not contacted by the host until day 13 of our 28 day stay. Would have appreciated an email or instructions in the unit with the process of replacement of supplies as we had purchased needed paper supplies and the linens were slow to be replaced after he did contact us..

Kona Island Getaway

The Kona Islander Inn is a perfect place to stay! It is located within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The tropical green surroundings and the units with ocean views add to the island experience! The on-site manager was very personable, professional and friendly. We will definitely stay here again😄

Your Kona search ends here!

This 2nd floor condo unit was a great find for my brother and I. This is also perfect for one or two couples. Everything is supplied but the food of course...everything (shops, restaurants, beach) is within walking distance. Dennis (owner) was very helpful, fair, and quick to respond when unforeseen date changes needed to be made. I would not hesitate to stay here again and again...you are right smack dab in the middle of eveything Kona town! ENJOY!

The property is right in the heart of Kailua right across the street from the ocean. It's easy to get anywhere and so much to do and see. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location & great host

This apt has everything you will need to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. The location is great with walking distance to most of the Kona restaurants and night life. Dennis is a great host very responsible and helpful I would highly recommend!

Perfect location, great studio for a couple

It was great for our wedding anniversary trip, we enjoyed drinks and meals on the lanai, being able to walk to various places in town and short drive to beaches.

Wonderful accomodations

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was recently renovated and it was a very nicely decorated united. The location near historic downtown was very convenient. We even had a view of the ocean. The manager was very responsive and accommodating. We highly recommend this condo and are looking forward to staying here again in the future.
