I have never written a bad review but this property definitely is not 5 star! Location as oceanfront was very good(although tightly squeezed between 2 lg. condo buildings. Host communication was good. We only had 3 beach chairs & he dropped off 2 additional chairs the next day. The property is VERY “tired”. It’s difficult to find the driveway as it is right prior to a stop sign & the gate is very close to the road so it is very difficult getting in & out of the property onto busy street. Tight parking area & turn around so not ideal for large vehicle. There is absolutely NO privacy. The louvre doors blocked visually but NO sound barrier. The second bedroom had a sliding “paper like” window opening into the hallway so no sound barrier at all. Wall paper coming off the wall in master bedroom, we had some bugs in the master bathroom, the tile floor in the master shower had missing tiles around the drain so it was sharp & you had to be careful not to step near the drain. Couldn’t use the grill as it was sooo very dirty & severely rusted. Evidence of termites near refrigerator & the exterior had MANY ROTTED areas, vents rusted and some were missing, many amateur “patched” areas. The kitchen was nice. Nice bed & sheets in master but pillows were gross and all stained. The windows allowed wind & noise through as many are louvered windows. Lots of road noise since so close to road. Paid a lot of money & since it was rated 5 we were VERY surprised at the condition of the property.

This is my favorite rental I’ve ever stayed in! The view and location are fantastic. The beds are super comfortable. The AC worked really well. It is super well stocked with towels and beach gear. Loved everything about it.

We truly enjoyed our stay. The inside of the beach house was a little dated but nicely appointed. The outside could use some minor maintenance but the ocean views from the back deck were amazing. The location was convenient to Kona and other Big Island attractions / activities. Would highly recommend staying here if visiting Hawaii.

Check in was seamless and host was very attentive to my questions. I was allowed a late checkout which greatly benefited us because our plane didn’t depart until 7:40. The home has everything you need to enjoy a wonderful beach vacation. The view is incredible and the sounds of the ocean lull you into peacefulness. Highly recommend.

Great location nice private home

this is a stand alone home - very hawaiin style. super nice to be right on the water. short walk to a cute little beach. it is a little outdated but was fine for us. town was a couple mile walk. the complete package would have been able to walk to town. again, it was fine for us. we were driving anyways for adventures.

Lovely home for the perfect vacation!

Can’t say enough about this vacation home! Two couples traveling to Kona. Your home provided a convenient location to explore the island. And we only missed one sunset in our 10 day stay! We appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella and snorkel equipment. Cooked out a few times. And the beds were sooo comfortable! Thank you for making this trip a home away from home! Absolutely recommend!

Fantastic Stay

Fantastic stay in a wonderful place with a fantastic host. Everything was as described and the location is perfect for exploring anything in Kona. Exceeded all expectations if we come back to Kona we will be staying again period.

The property’s location and views were amazing! However The spa we couldn’t get the jets to come out very powerful. There’s a few things that need updating but the beds were very comfortable! They had pretty much everything we needed! They definitely have old snorkeling equipment so bring your own! Overall we had a very comfortable time here!

Beach house review

Spacious open ocean front ingulfs the house sounvds sky and ocean colors . Every drawer I opened made me feel at home -great lengths taken to not make it feel like a condo!
