Questa è una proprietà ospitata.
Di recente costruzione, di 700 piedi quadrati autonomo spazio di vita in un privato, un'ala separata della casa. Le aree di camera da letto e soggiorno sono piene di luce, che affaccia sul splendida vista sulle tre montagne - Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa e Hualalai. Godetevi la cucina completamente attrezzata, zona pranzo, angolo cottura lettura nel soggiorno, ampia camera da letto con cabina armadio, bagno nuovo di zecca con cabina doccia, internet wireless e Direct TV (film, spettacoli televisivi e canali musicali).

La panchina in teak davanti al cottage è un posto perfetto per sedersi e guardare le nuvole giocano sopra Mauna Kea. Fuori dalla porta sul retro fuori dalla cucina, c'è un nuovo barbecue a gas, tavolo e sedie per mangiare o per godersi tramonti o le notti stellate luminosi. Vi è anche uno scrigno contenitore pieno di sedie a sdraio, boogie boards e attrezzatura per lo snorkeling per il vostro uso.

La nostra struttura di 3 acri ha una grande casa che recentemente ristrutturato per includere il cottage ospite ad una estremità della casa. Mio marito ed io vivo in un'ala separata all'altro capo della nostra casa a forma di L. I due spazi di vita sono separati da un patio coperto di scherma e paesaggistico fornendo privacy per ogni abitazione.

Noi rispettiamo la nostra privacy ospiti assicurato e godere la nostra. Siamo inoltre lieti di rispondere alle domande che potete avere per aiutarvi a trascorrere il vostro soggiorno sull'isola. Saremo lieti di orientare i nostri ristoranti preferiti, spiagge, sentieri e avventure dell'isola.

Godiamo di giardinaggio e piantato alberi da frutta, alcune verdure e erbe e molti fiori. Puoi condividere frutta e verdura che sono mature durante il tuo soggiorno: spesso abbiamo banane, lilikoʻi, mango o papaia ed erbe fresche.

Situato sul 'lato asciutto' di Waimea, siamo a metà strada tra Kawaihae e la città di Waimea, a dieci minuti di auto da entrambi. Le migliori spiagge dell'isola sono a 10-15 minuti.

Situato a 1800 piedi di elevazione, le nostre giornate sono soleggiate e calde. Le temperature raffreddare la sera - perfetto per una buona notte di sonno. Cardinali, colombe, fringuelli e altri uccelli riempiono il nostro tranquillo hotel a 3-acri con canzone.

Excellent location, and more

The location is primo: slightly west of Waimea town, so easy 12 minutes to the beach and providing a lovely climate. The property itself is well maintained and all comforts are provided at the rental. Catrinka is a wonderful, generous and informative host. The quiet of the place is fabulous, as is the view. Two thumbs up.

Practically perfect Big Island accommodation!

The property exudes peace and tranquility in a cozy, yet expansive setting. The ‘neighborhood’ is as perfect as they get, with each of the houses occupying at least 3 acres, individually. Perfect view of Mauna Kea. Unpolluted night skies, on cloudless nights for glimpsing the vastness of our universe… up close and personal. The bed was quite comfortable. Only one disappointment: just a single burner hot plate for cooking. Catrinka is a gracious and considerate host.

Perfect and Peaceful!

It was lovely to wake each morning to birdsong and pastoral views. Perfect for people like us who don't crave crowds. We were close enough to beaches, botanical gardens, farmers markets, historical sights, and amenities that we could easily have our fill of adventures and yet still have a quiet oasis to retreat to. We felt instantly at home! When our home fins didn't fit into our carry on luggage, we prepared ourselves to rent and return fins somewhere on the Big Island. It was a happy surprise to discover that fins and other gear were waiting for us in the storage bin out the back door. And the shelves of books was another delight! There were books for both leisure reading and for learning about learning about Hawaii. It was wonderful to dive into the Hawaiian books to debrief after each day and to tune into the next day's possibilities. As other people have mentioned, the kitchen does not contain a full range, but we found all that we needed and more. And it is easy to see why the place is so comfortable and peaceful; Catrinka is a wonderful host. Always ready and responsive, but never intrusive. For us, it was the perfect place to be! Mahalo nui Catrinka for the wonderful experience!

Peaceful retreat

This property is very comfortable and classy. It is as cute as the photos. With plenty of towels, closet space, kitchen accessories, a book nook and even a work space it checks all the boxes. It was sparkling clean and the hostess was very gracious. Stay here. You will not be disappointed.

Gorgeous views

Our stay at Catrinka’s hale was stunning. Every morning I couldn’t believe the breeze coming through, and the views and sounds of nature out every window. It’s a quick drive to Waimea coffee company or Hapuna beach! There were many useful odds and ends as far as kitchen, toiletry, and beach items. Tape and scissors! We swapped pillows for the ones in the closet that were more like ours at home. Any time I needed something I was able to find it, if I wasn’t I knew Catrinka was a phone call away. Would love to stay again!

Homey and convenient

Loved that this property had absolutely everything you could want to have a very homey experience. We bought some groceries but the kitchen was very well stocked with condiments, oil, jam, cooking tools, etc. We also loved the various living spaces and the beach gear! Would definitely be great for travelers on a budget who want to cook all their meals and do some hiking or exploring on the north side of the island or in Waimea.

Catrinka’s Home away from home

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Catrina’s Hideaway this week. She provides all the creature comforts and more and we love the quiet pastoral atmosphere away from the hotel craziness. We woke to birds singing and enjoyed all the beautiful flowers. Check the cupboards and fridge before grocery shopping as many staples are available. Catrinka was a wonderful hostess. A great place to stay!!

The Location is Ideal for going to the villages of the North end of the Island both east and west.

Wonderful for a couple that likes to visit the small town museums and loves the cooler ranch country of Hawaii. We would come back again and again. Catrinka was so accomodating and helpful with everything. Great at hosting. We have been coming to this Island for more than a decade and half, and will continue to do so. This is now our go to location if available.

Peaceful Retreat

This is a great place to retreat to after a day of sightseeing. It is quiet, very clean and has expansive views across to Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. Good restaurants nearby in Waimea. You need a vehicle to get around. The host is very friendly and accommodating. It's not a resort - just what I was looking for!

Great place!!

This little place is just perfect for 2 people. Has everything you need as if you were moving into an apartment! There is even chairs to take to the beach, and there is a nice quiet beach nearby. If you need a nice quiet place off the beaten path and want peace this is it!!! We used the BBQ almost every night so didn’t spend lots of money dining out😀 I would definitely stay here again

Beautiful View

This Ohana is an exceptionally clean, pleasant, private space, with well equipped kitchen. The location is serene, with an incredible view. You can see billions of stars if you are waking up very early! C. was a perfect host, welcoming, but not intrusive. She gave us valuable information about local activities. The birds at the birdfeeder were highly entertaining. Mahalo nui loa to our host!

Cute house near yummy local spots!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute bungalow. Bed was comfy, loved the reading book and full length mirror in the closest and the views were spectacular and we enjoyed the location! It was close to the beaches and resorts as well as the yummy food places and farmers markets in town. Rental car would be a must though! Only downside is no pool but Spencer Park beach is super close and there’s a smaller more secluded beach next to it through the wooded area that’s awesome and not crowded.

Birds, views and comfort

The photos of this wonderful guest house don’t do it justice. Sometimes when traveling one compromises a bit of comfort for a great location. Not such compromise here! The house was comfortable with everything you need to feel at home. The location was breathtaking with ever changing views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa and the birds were amazing. Katrinka was warm and welcoming… and if she offers you homemade cookies say yes!
