  • The Breen House is the perfect space to unwind and take in all that Parkville has to offer! With four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and 2 living rooms you'll have plenty of space to kick back and relax. It is ideal for families, groups of friends, or business travelers! The eclectic aesthetic will make you feel right at home in Parkville, providing you a stress free space to relax after a day of exploring. Built in 1912, it is the original family home of Charles P Breen. Breen was a Master Stone Mason for Park College and you'll see his work in many of the stone retaining walls throughout Parkville!

    There are 4 bedrooms - 3 with queen beds, 1 with a king bed, and a fold out sofa in the living room. There a 4 full bathrooms - 2 adjoin bedrooms.

    The décor & amenities reflect the quaint, welcoming feel of Parkville. We have smart TVs with a plethora of apps guests may sign into. Two living rooms offer an opportunity to spread out during your stay.

    There are stairs to reach the main house entry and more stairs to reach the second level. While we'd love to have you stay, if stairs aren't your thing, this isn't your spot. If a more easily accessible stay is required, please check out other local listings.

    While we like fury friends, we do not allow them in our home. If this is an issue, we are happy to provide information on pet boarding as an alternative during your stay.

We had a wonderful stay and appreciate you sharing your home with us! I would suggest that you put a mat in the bathtub of the master. It is extremely slick and I’m afraid someone will get hurt and y'all will end up being sued. Thank you!

This was the best house for our family! It was in such a great location! Not only were we only 20-30 minutes away from our attractions (Science City and Mavericks Hockey game), but it was also in such an amazing neighborhood with a great small-town vibe and only a 10-minute walk down to antique shops, coffee shops, restaurants and more. We all comfortably fit in the house and were able to have our own spaces with our own bathrooms. Taryn was also a fabulous host. She was more than accommodating, easy to work with, quick to respond, and worked so well with our family. The check-in and out processes were so easy. We would love to save this property for future visits.

This was a fun place to stay. The host did a wonderful job of combining the house's original charm with a modern flair. Check-in was very easy. We were in town for my husband's graduation. It was nice to have two bedrooms on the main floor so our parents didn't have to climb the stairs to the second level. The only negative was hearing a train whistle often during the night. However, most of my family slept through that. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean. Nice. Simple decor. We basically only slept there, so can’t comment on kitchen supplies etc. Bathrooms were good. I bit of a challenge for load in because the stairs were steep, but we’re in our mid70s so there’s that.

Family Vacation to KC

We loved everything about this house and the town. Parkville is a quiet and quaint little community that has embraced its history and charm. The spacious house was perfect for our large family of 7 and the host was easy to communicate with. I would love to come stay again!

Great Friends Weekend Property

This historic house on a hill is in a charming suburb of Kansas City. Four bedrooms and four bathrooms provided plenty of privacy and space for four friends. We walked 5 minutes to coffee, restaurants and shops.

Great location and setup for a group!

So I have 3 business partners and we live all over (WA, TX, NY & FL) so this was an ideal spot and that each bedroom had their own bathroom was incredible and SO hard to find!
