Light-Filled Lakeside Cabin with Private 15-Acre Spring-Fed Lake Near Downtown Excelsior Springs, Missouri

Our beautiful light-filled cabin is perched above our spring-fed 15 acre private lake next to the outdoor common area and sand beach. We have 200 acres of gorgeous property with limestone boulders and hiking trails throughout. The lake is great for swimming, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and offers excellent fishing. We are five minutes from downtown Excelsior Springs, Excelsior Springs golf course and 3EX municipal airport.



The cabin is light and airy with bright and beautiful sunrises in the morning and ever so cozy in the evenings watching the sun set over the water or enjoying a romantic fire on chilly nights in the fireplace (firewood is available for sale for $15 per big bundle and includes fire starter which we stock the cabin with for your use or you are also welcome to bring your own). The cabin includes a large ceiling fan as well as air-conditioning for comfort in the warmer months and has heat for cold nights in the winter months. :)



There is a charcoal grill as well as a propane burner for the cast iron skillet on the large deck for preparing meals as well as two deck chairs and patio table for dining al fresco. The outdoor stone fire pit is located next to the cabin and is a nice way to spend an evening under the stars.



The restroom inside the cabin includes a modern composting toilet (Natures Head). Instructions on the use of the toilet are posted in the restroom and we will give you a brief overview upon arrival. It's very simple. :) There is a hot and cold-water outdoor shower (seasonal) on the deck for rinsing off sand, dirt and lake after a day of fun. We ask that you ONLY use the soap provided (Dr. Bronner's Baby soap) as we do not wish to harm our wild and lake life with harsh chemicals. :)



There is filtered water for drinking provided as well as a wash basin for washing your face or doing dishes inside the cabin. There is a card table stored under the bed for games, eating on rainy days, etc. There is also a small refrigerator with a real freezer, coffee pot and toaster oven.



Miles of improved hiking and biking trails are located throughout the property. I have outlined the trails via AllTrails if you would like a digital map of the main trails.



We offer use of our water sports equipment included with your stay and the kayaks, paddle boat, paddle boards and canoes are located at the boat house just to the left of the outdoor room area. Please return all boats to the covered boathouse when you're finished using them and remove all trash and fishing gear. Additionally, we have some fishing supplies up in the barn if you'd like to borrow a rod and reel during your stay.



There is WiFi access in the cabin and common area (outdoor room and barn area).
