I went with my wife, her parents and our 9 month old daughter in Jan 2023. The weather was 30 degrees and very sunny every day. Great location if you want a nice relaxing resort during the day, but then some lively options in the evening for a drink and food with Karon so close. The staff were extremely welcoming, and helpful. The beach is beautiful and the sunsets are incredible. I’ve read reviews that say “it’s full of Russians”. I found a mix of all nationalities and anyway I don’t have a problem with any nationality. The guests were all very nice and friendly. Main negative is lack of walking options into Karon, expensive to eat when it’s so much cheaper outside, and the room was a little dated for a 5 star resort.
Staff: 10/10 - very friendly and welcoming, from check-in where they organised an early check-in, to the restaurant staff who were exceptionally friendly to our daughter and the lobby staff who were attentive and very helpful.
Food: 7/10 - breakfast was ok, selection was good but inconsistent. Some items would be available one day but not available the next. A big annoyance was on a Sunday they did a brunch which we didn’t want, but it was the only option from the restaurant that day. The usual a la carte was not available. The club sandwich was nice and the spaghetti bolognaise was very good. Also good food options for my 9 month old, which they blended. We mainly had breakfast and lunch and dined outside in the evening.
Location: 8/10 - very close to live
