“Nice quiet location. There is a pub attached with food and drinks. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. I was surprised some of the lighting was still using fluorescent tubes in the rooms. The food was on offer for breakfast was varied and something for all tastes. I would stay again”

“If the hustle & bustle of busy Cologne gets to be too much, the lovely town of Königswinter on the banks of the Rhine may prove a relaxing alternative. Das Hotel Krone is in the centre of town about a 5 minute walk from the train station. I’ve stayed here before and been very happy. But, it’s under new management/ownership now and the quality of the experience has increased a lot. The place is clean, the staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfasts are wonderful.”

“The automated check in procedure is a mess. The hotline in case there are issues was not available. Could not even leave a message. This hotel has two different buildings. And two different lock boxes for the keys. Only one is mentioned in the greeting email. Absolutely mindbogglingly stupid. If it were not for a lady working in the nearby restaurant I would have stood in the rain even longer. The room while clean and decent was very small and lacked even a stool. ”

“Also ich bin sehr freundlich begrüßt worden und hatte einen wundervolles Frühstück am Morgen. Die Zimmer sind tatsächlich sehr klein und praktisch eingerichtet, man sieht auch dass das Hotel schon ein bisschen älter ist striemen an der Wand und große Kratzer in den Türen. Es war trotzdem sehr sauber und gepflegt. Also zum Übernachten ist es eindeutig zu empfehlen.”

“Amazing hotel!! The room was huge and so comfortable, with a large bed, an armchair, a large TV with a desk and the te, coffee and kettle set. I booked mainly for the swimming pool and spa, which is very good (wish they had the steam room and the water of the swimming pool was heated though) and with long hours. The breakfast was great with a lot of choices, although unfortunately the dining room was very crowded as the hotel is really big: I believe they should add more water/juice station to...
