Baita rustica sul lungomare

Immagina una perfetta baita sul lago nel Kootenays, situata a 5 km a sud di Kaslo e 15 km a nord di Ainsworth Hot Springs. Disponibile tutto l'anno. A pochi passi dal bellissimo lago Kootenay, goditi una nuotata mattutina o un kayak serale direttamente dalla tua porta di casa. A soli 5 minuti dall'incantevole villaggio di Kaslo, con facile accesso a escursioni, pesca, gite in barca o semplicemente per rilassarsi. Goditi il tavolo da picnic e siediti sotto le stelle in una notte calda e chiara.

C'è un varo e ormeggio privato per una piccola barca.

Amazing Place

We just loved it. Our host was lovely and nature was spectacular. We will definitely return if we can. Note that sleeping quarters are in a loft up a steep staircase and beds are low to the ground. The fresh lake air coming in the window made for a restful night.

Amazing reset

The area is amazing and as Brene Brown has said about her lake she goes to, Kootenay Lake is our magic lake. My daughter and I had such a beautiful stay and the cabin was so cozy and everything we possibly needed was there! Thank you so much Janet! We will be back, Shannon and Louisa

Just what I needed

My companion and I arrived well after dark after 10 hours on the road. The host waited up for us to give us the key personally. We both audibly gasped the moment we stepped into the space. It was warm, cozy, clean and quiet. The whole trip was everything I had hoped. I would definitely make the drive to stay there again.Thank you

Pleasant vacation

A really peaceful and adventurous week. Hiked so many trails nearby, and saw the salmon returning to spawn and being eaten by black bears. Had an awesome time exploring the lake with my kayak. Such a nice cabin to enjoy, with the BBQ, a fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. Thanks for the help during my stay, and for a nice Summer holiday!

life on the lake is good!

We love staying here!! The proof of that is how we keep coming back! Janet, her family and her dogs are awesome people and the cabin is absolutely perfect! We love everything about the cabin - and now with the air conditioner it's even better! Rustic, clean, you have everything you need and you feel relaxed the moment you step in!! The lakeshore is right out the back door of the cabin and is spectacular! We our tie up our little boat on their brand new dock and cruise and fish all day! Kaslo is about a five minute drive away so you're near everything (really close to mirror lake where we also catch small mouth bass!). I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants some serious relaxation and for time to truly stand still - except don't book when we plan on coming back again next year!! (Ha!) Thanks Janet - you're the best!!!

Great spot!

Our son wanted to stay in a little log cabin by the lake and this was the perfect place! Quaint and authentic but with any amenities we could need. The location is lovely. We enjoyed our time in nearby Kaslo and exploring the beaches there and at Mirror Lake and Fletcher Falls. The best was sitting or walking along the lakeshore right here though. So beautiful and peaceful. Thanks to our host for a lovely stay!

So cute and clean!

Great place to stay. Clean and fully equipped home. It’s close to the owners house but they left us alone unless we asked for something. Upstairs is tight with low ceilings but comfy mattresses. Steep and narrow stars so not appropriate for people with mobility issues. Located right on the beach!

Very cute cabin

Loved our stay here. Close to the water so we could kayak everyday, and a short drive to town to get groceries. Full kitchen and BBQ, and a cozy living room. Was lovely to sit outside enjoying the view and the sound of the splashing water. Would recommend!

Loft Sleeping Area

The listing doesn’t clearly indicate that the sleeping area is in a converted attic space where access is up extremely steep steps onto a bridge that is about 5 feet high. The sleeping areas are awkward as you can’t stand up, so hard to dress or do normal things. Although we managed, there are many people who would struggle with both the space and the steep stairs. For safety, that should be clarified. Otherwise this is a quaint property with great water access and nice quiet views.

Third time and still a charm

Once again we thoroughly enjoyed Janet’s cabin, great for our family of 3. As always Janet was a great host and the cabin had everything we needed and then some. Being right on the shore and having immediate access to the lake can’t be beat. We’ll be back for a 4th time for sure.
