We loved this place so much-it was perfect for tucking in and recovering fr jet lag, with some adventures on the side. It’s a ways fr Hilo and traffic (at least when we were driving) was a lot, but once we got food we loved using it as an outpost. The 5-6 mile round trip hike to shipman’s beach is long, but the payoff is incredible. The trailhead is just a minute drive from the house. Paradise Cliffs is also a beautiful overlook just a 20 minute walk down beach road. So much good stuff so close by.

We had a great stay. The unit was very clean, spacious, private and in a great location to access gorgeous views. Jordan gave clear instructions that made the check in and out processes very simple and stress-free. We would definitely stay here again.

You have to follow instructions to the letter. The unit is located in the back lot of the primary property.It is very spacious for just 3 of us. AC worked well in both the living room and the bedroom. Good touch with free coffee. Everything worked.Just be aware that the vertical blinds are missing the end part, so lights come in the mornings and less privacy in the bathroom.Had to swap batteries between two remotes since we only watch on the living room TV.Suggestion to put in washer and dryer.

Jordan the host was awesome and responsive. Place was clean and slept the 5 of us well. Very private. There was a cooler for our use which was greatly appreciated. Overall the place and host were great. Priced well, but with the price and privacy it is a little off the beaten path so be prepared to drive.

Comfortable Place to Stay Near Hilo

This house was great for our family trip to Hilo. We had 2 adults and 2 kids, one kid slept on a pull-out couch in the living room and was very comfortable. The house was very nice and clean. The hosts were communicative and answered any questions we had promptly. The house is a little outside Hilo, but it was an easy drive and is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. We would highly recommend this house for a family looking for a nice, comfortable, safe place to stay in the Hilo area.

Cozy and all inclusive

El lugar es muy limpio, acogedor y tiene todo lo que necesitas y aún más de lo esperado. El vecindario es muy tranquilo. Un lugar perfecto para estar en familia. Amazing stay!

My family and I were looking for a ‘base camp’ while exploring the eastern side of the island. This location was perfect. The special touches (personalized welcome in bedroom and personalized parking space was such a nice touch. The place was impeccable and everything we needed for our family of 7. From bath and beach towels, to k cups for the coffee maker. I would recommend this highly!!

Incredibly clean and new!

Wow. Jordan & Ohana- thank you so much! Everything was exactly as described, maybe even better. The security of the gate, the waterfall shower, the cleanliness of the space- everything was great. The host even came over at 9:30pm and helped us figure out the fire pit so that we could do s’mores and stargaze! I would definitely come here again- what a great spot. I cannot recommend this enough. We enjoyed the personalized signs as well in the parking spot, and inside the bedroom. Thank you so much. Mahalo!

Perfect little beach house

We stayed here at Beach Road Hale for my brothers wedding and it was the perfect spot for myself and three others. We weren’t in the house much, we would leave early in the morning and come back late at night and we couldn’t have found a better place. Highly recommend if you are running around the island and just need a place to rest your head!1

Perfect for us!

Clean and comfortable with hosts who give you privacy, while also being available if needed. A great hiking trail is at one end of the road and a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise over the ocean is 1 mile down the road the other direction. We were very happy with our stay.

Highly recommended!

We only had time for a one night stay but we enjoyed the house very much! The neighborhood felt safe, the house was nice and clean. The air conditioning worked great. The shower is fantastic! Thank you to the host for a great stay!

This was a great stay for a family of 4 wanting to explore more of Hilo and Volcano area. Property is within walking distance to Puna Historic Trail if you are into hiking. Property was clean and has everything you need in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Communication was excellent, what made it extra special was the Host. Quick story, Airport shut down on the day of our departure, I needed a place to stay for that night so I contacted Jordan, unfortunately he had already book the house for that night and I was having hard time finding a place to stay (many flights were affected) Jordan started calling hotels and helping us find one late at night, he didn’t have to do that. I am very appreciative for the help. You will not regret booking this place!

Beautiful home

Quickly Family Staycation

My daughter had a Judo Tournament in Hilo during her fall break so we decided to spend a few extra days as a family to make it a staycation as we’re from Oahu. We arrived at night when it was dark, but the guest house easy to find and my kids were super excited as we entered as it was very clean, modern, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Because we arrived late the first night we made ramen which I packed and they had all the kitchen utensils, pots & pans, seasonings, etc to cook and clean. The bathroom had everything needed (soap, shampoo, towels, blow dryer, curling iron, etc). The bedroom beds were so comfy that my husband and kids didn’t want to get out of bed everyday. My son slept in the living room area as the couch turned into a bed as he wanted so privacy which worked well. This was a very comfy house and we felt very safe. The drive to Hilo town was about 20-25 min, but that didn’t bother us.
