Paradise Ocean View, 2Br/2Ba

This oceanfront, cliff-side property has all the views that you could ask for in a Big Island getaway! Located in Hawaiian Paradise Park, this 2 bedroom/2 bath home has views of the Pacific from all living areas. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and dinnerware to make this feel like your home away from home. Off the kitchen, there is open space with unobstructed views of the ocean, perfect for morning yoga, being lazy, or as a play space out of the sun.

Email your friends about your Hawaiian vacation from the convenient work area on the 1st floor – unless you get distracted from pressing “send” by the sounds of the waves outside. Next to the kitchen is the TV and lounge area, an ideal place to take in a vacation movie while still being able to feel the ocean breeze. There is also a queen sleeper sofa downstairs.

On the ocean side of the house, there is a grassy area perfect for catching some rays or watching the waves crash against the lava rock. The property extends beyond the white fence, to where the lava rock meets the ocean. (Do not swim in water off cliffs – dangerous waves and rocks).

The bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor and each have an entrance to the upper lanai that faces the ocean. There is a TV, desk, and ample closet space in each room. The upper lanai has a seating area perfect for enjoying drinks while you count the whales. You will find a cozy reading area on the 2nd floor landing, if you need a break from whale- and turtle-watching. For your spontaneous trips to one of the nearby beaches, large beach towels are provided. The house is ideally located for easy day trips to Volcanos National Park, Hilo, the many beautiful waterfalls, and other attractions.
This vacation house truly has a paradise ocean view that you’ll want to make part of your Hawaiian getaway tradition!

Una casa genial!!! Vistas increibles al mar (se oye mucho de noche, por lo q si te gusta, es ideal), tiene todo lo necesario (al menos para mi), fácil acceso, vecinos tranquilos, vista a la salida de sol, se pueden ver tortugas y delfines justo delante, camas cómodas, se ve un cielo increible de noche….. repito sin duda cuando vuelva. Lo único q cambiaría sería las almohadas, q para mi eran demasiado duras. Pero aun así es un 10!!

Great location

Beautiful spot on the lava cliffs over looking the ocean. Even saw a whale!House is lacking in many things! Terrible pillows, shower leaked, no batteries in the TV’s remote, no ice, washing machine broken. So many little things that could have made it better such as salt and pepper, filtered water, etc

Beautiful views, but lacks privacy

Although the house was very nice with beautiful views, the lack of privacy from the nearby "sister cottage" ruined our stay. The listing states the cottage is on the property, but it doesn't explain the lack of privacy for guests staying in the house. The upstairs patio for the cottage is above the house entrance and during our stay there, guests looked down on us, talked loudly, and smoked much of the time. We even had to close windows on that side of the house because they were so loud and we also had to pull down window shades. We were also awakened at 3:00 AM one night with lights flashing into the house and were scared that they were intruders, only to find out the next day that it was the people in the guesthouse. So although the house is very nice with great views, we wouldn't suggest staying there if you also want privacy. We also tried to change our reservations about a month before our stay to shorten it for one day, but the management company wouldn't make the adjustment and we ended up leaving a day early but still had to pay for the extra day. So just beware that no price adjustments will be made if your plans change.

Relaxing in paradise

Arrived at the beautiful location. The house was clean and we automatically opened the windows and took in the view. Hearing the ocean crash against the rocks. I even spotted a spinner dolphin the next morning. I agree with the other guests that I wish one of the rooms had a bigger bed but it didn't effect our stay at all.

Too beautiful to believe

Lives up to description and pictures. Everything you could need in the house including beach towels, chairs, and snorkeling gear. Very clean and the beds are really comfortable. If I had one unfulfilled wish, it would be a king size bed. Impossible to share a queen with my 6.5 foot tall hubby. But we each took a bedroom and our adult daughter was more than happy with the queen size pullout downstairs and her own bathroom. The location is very private and somewhat remote to various eating venues. But the breathtaking view made the remote location worth it. We loved everything about this vacation home and wished we could have stayed longer.

Exactly what we needed

My husband and I had a sudden change of plans and needed to rent a place very quickly. We found this gem and hoped it would work out. The property manager went above and beyond to make sure we got in as needed, and the rest of the vacation was blissful; from the comfortable layout of the house, the snuggly bed, watching the sea turtles off the back deck, to falling asleep listening to the crashing of the waves. Convenient (but not TOO close) to Hilo and other popular areas, we enjoyed our days unwinding and exploring the Big Island. We look forward to coming back!

Serenity Now

Wake up to the sounds of the ocean and beautiful sunrise sparkling on water. Beautiful view all day! Comfortable with all you need to relax and enjoy. The house does get very hot during the day, however, there are plenty of fans to keep the air circulating and the house cools down in the evening. Our favorite part of the house is the upstairs deck. Perfect for morning coffee or a sunset glass of wine. The neighborhood is lovely and people are very kind. Highly recommend!

Wonderful in every way

The location of this rental is beyond what the pictures show. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, location right on the ocean, yet close to Volcano, this is it. Impeccably clean. Many thoughtful touches. Not overdecorated; simple and exactly what was wanted and needed. Manager was available and helpful. A winner all around. Note that both bedrooms and one bath are upstairs.

Whew…

…our long term Pahoa rental is in process of sale. VRBO search of a replacement listed this beautiful house (just down the street) first and it was love at first sight. The housekeeping upon arrival was immaculate, the window design enabled capture of the consistent ocean breeze, every appliance worked and the bed was extremely comfortable. We do have a ‘wish list’ (not to imply complaints): a dish washer, and two high chairs on the upstairs huge lanai would facilitate ocean viewing unobstructed by the safety railing. All things considered, this was the easiest search in 30+ trips to Hawaii and every bit as pleasurable as our ‘old reliables’ in Kona, and on Maui and Kauai; Mahalo Hawaii Life and VRBO!

Ocean Views, Sunrises and Breezes

We loved our stay. The ocean view, breezes and nighttime showers, singing frogs, and every morning awaking to the sunrise over the water were all about life on the island. The property was very clean, private, and quiet, with all the amenities of home. We would gladly return. Our only disappointment was that there was no good patio furniture downstairs or patio lounge chairs.

Beautiful location

Beautiful property, right on the ocean. House is very clean and well appointed. About 30 min from downtown Hilo. Which is as perfect for us. Very quiet neighborhood. I recommend it! Never been to the big island. Visited the Kona side once during the week. Although the Kona side provides more attractions and activities. The Hilo side is very tropical and beautiful in comparison.

Quiet retreat in a spectacular location

My wife and I loved the six nights we spent at this very nice house in June 2022. The house itself is very well-equipped, with nice furnishings and open spaces. The location is simply spectacular: on the ocean on a black lava cliff (10-15 feet or so). The neighboring houses are spaced out and largely out of view, and it is a very quiet neighborhood. The upper deck provides a great space to take it all in. The check-in was smooth, and we very much appreciated the "starter kit" of fresh coffee and various household items. We loved the chocolates, too! Kudos to the owners and management. We would certainly stay here again.

Great stay on the internet eastern side of the big island

Beautiful house overlooking the ocean. Just as described. Enjoyed all of the plants and animals we saw, including some sea turtles swimming in the waves.

Breathtaking location

This home is stunning. There are giant ocean views, amazing cross-breezes, wave sounds all night long, and scenic spots for reading/eating/hanging out. The kitchen was well-supplied, and we could shop at farmers markets and grocery stores within a short drive. We were grateful for the jugs of water provided (we had a little snafu with quantity, but the host was quickly accommodating) as the tap water was a bit salty for our palates. It's an easy location for adventures to Volcanoes or Hilo. The weather shifts rapidly, but the passing rain showers (or sometimes middle-of-the-night downpours!) added to the magic of the place. This really felt like a full immersion into coastal living- what a special experience!

Another piece of paradise.

Overall the property was very nice. Clean and tastefully decorated with plenty of room to spread out for us 4 adults. Whales and porpoises were a common treat to see. Interacted with the property manager regarding a small issue and was amazed that they got the issue addressed and corrected quickly even though it turned out to be something actually out of their control. We have stayed in this area before and enjoy its convenient location and beauty.

Surf sounds for a week

Wonderful place overlooking black lava cliff in a quiet neighborhood with nothing but sounds of crashing surf and coqui frogs at night. Beautiful deck and breezy view, easy drive to shopping, farmers markets and restaurants. Super convenient interaction with host, zero problems. Would definitely stay again and for longer!

Great spot on the quite side of the island In a quiet neighborhood right on the coast.

Very nice and clean house right on the coast. The kitchen left a little to be desired. It could use a little more in the way of basic cooking utensils, but I assume this will come with time as it is on the rental market longer. A quick vac would be a nice thing to have around to clean up after eating and snacking. Fans were a lifesaver up stairs for sleeping at night. It would have also been great to have some type of awning on the second floor balcony to keep it a little more comfortable in the morning and being able to enjoy the view. Just a side note the railing on the second floor patio completely blocks your view if you are sitting in any of the chairs. Overall this is a very nice place to stay and enjoy a nice relaxed vacation. Great bedrooms, clean house, well furnished home. Easy access and quiet neighbors. I would recommend it to a friend. With a few minor changes this could become a spectacular spot to spend a week or more. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

Beautiful home in great location!

We absolutely loved staying at this home. It was clean, spacious, and in a quiet, pretty neighborhood that we could walk in. The ocean waves were wonderful to hear, and looking out over the ocean through the day and evening was both calming and energizing. The home itself was very attractive and comfortable, even nicer than it looks in the photos. The chirping frogs at night are also wonderful, giving a layered aural ambience akin to crickets, but sounding more tropical and wild. For convenience, the basic supermarkets and other stores are only about 15 minutes away. Getting everywhere else is a bit more drive (about 30 minutes to Hilo, an hour to the volcano and two hours to Kona), but we really liked the neighborhood and being set away from the main roads and bustle. The home was also well stocked for cooking. There were a couple items we would have liked to have that weren't there, like a large serving bowl for tortilla chips, but that was easy to work around. Bottled water with a dispenser was provided, and we were welcomed with a lovely floral arrangement and box of Hawaiian chocolate, which was a nice touch. And finally, the yard with the ocean "cliffs" is amazing. We all at various times walked out and sat along the rocks, watching the ocean crash against them. The photos don't begin to do this justice, the experience is mesmerizing. The lava rock seemed very stable so we all felt safe walking along it, even with an 8 year old child, we just stayed a reasonable distance from the edge. We would definitely rent this home again, and we highly recommend it!
