“I stayed 4 nights at this beautiful gem just outside of Ubud City Center. The accommodations are lovely and it is very quiet as the villa is backed by rice fields. The staff is exceptional! Breakfast included was cooked to order and served at your room. There are several very good eateries within walking distance. “We’ve felt like royals since the very beginning we got at Kupu Kupu. The place is amazing, but it’s the people working there, working for you, who are the difference. “Jungle Retreat is part of a big complex called Kupu Kupu Barong, with different kind of accomodations, rooms and villas. The context is amazing, in the jungle, with a marvelous vegetation... It is located out of Ubud but there is a shuttle to go there. The staff is incredibly kind. We were not so lucky about the weather (a lot of rain) but apart from this. everything was great!”
