  • This will truly be your home away from home vacation! Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood of the sunny West side, you'll be immersed in Kaua'i's ~island time~. Enjoy the less than two minute walk to the beach for the unobstructed view of Ni'ihau and the beautiful white sands of Kekaha Beach. Imagine being lulled to sleep by the sound of breaking waves, it's amazing!

    If you want to experience true Hawaiian living, this is it! Clean, 50's style beach bungalow with three bedrooms, large indoor bathroom with a tub/shower combo, and a second bathroom with an outdoor shower to enjoy after a day at the beach or hiking. Stay cool and comfortable on hot days with the newly installed mini split air conditioning in every bedroom. There is utmost privacy in the hedge bordered yard, all to yourselves. The barbecue area is shaded and perfect to enjoy meals outdoors.

    We provide beach chairs, towels, and boogie boards for your enjoyment of the island. Take a walk along the beach and catch one of our amazing sunsets!

    Nearby are two parks with expansive lawns, basketball/tennis/pickleball courts, play structure, swing set, and views of the ocean within two blocks. They're great places to play for kids when they want to get out and run!

This home was great for our family. Yard was plenty big and the rooms were reasonable size. Kitchen was equiped for cooking meals and like the open concept of family room to Kitchen dining area. We enjoyed bbq and sitting outside with the lighting created a perfect ambiance for evening dinners. Rooms were cleaned and bedding options if needed were available. AC worked great in the bedrooms! Laundry area was great and worked very efficient. Outdoor shower was set up for privacy and very convenient for using after a day at the beach.

Our host, Liz M., was super responsive with clear instructions. The house was just as pictured -- okay, even cuter in person! AC in the bedrooms was super as we were here during a hot spell. Outdoor shower was great!

Great place on the west coast. Clean and well stocked. Close to Waimea and Waimea canyon. Close to beaches. Would stay here again.

10/10 Excellent!The house and all the amenities were excellent! I grew up in Kekaha and came back for a family reunion and found this place to be perfect for my family. For those that have never been, Kekaha can get hot so having an ac in every room was great, especially after being at the beach all day. The outdoor bbq was also perfect for for all the grilling. The outdoor yard is spacious and lots of grass area for kids to play in the yard.Mahalo to Chad and Liz for being great hosts! They were very fast and attentive with the whole process from check in to check out and even let me extend my stay on short notice!If you are looking for a place to stay on the west side of Kauaʻi look no further. Kekaha is a small quiet local plantation town and it is a place to stay when you want a real true Kauaʻi experience. While some visitors may feel out of place the people are second to know. If you say hi, are respectful to the ‘aina (land) and want to learn of the culture they will treat you like family. Mahalo nui loa to Chad and Liz! Will definitely stay here again!

This is a home I would love to live in! Well furnished and supplied from the kitchen to the bathrooms to the beds, everything was functional, comfortable, and tasteful. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cookall our meals here. We especially appreciated the beach supplies from towels to folding chairs to umbrellas and boogie boards. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it!

Fantastic Experience!

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful home. We loved the location, which let us explore the southern end of Kaua'i. The house is a true gem, and we hope to stay here again on our next visit.

Quiet neighborhood away from the tourist areas

We enjoyed this cozy house away from the busy tourist areas. It is a quiet neighborhood and as described very very close to the beach frequented by the local people; close drive to the canyon and the port.

Living as local in Kauai

We loved the beach cottage location, appointments, the owners quick response to questions, and the private indoor-outdoor feel of the yard and house. We prefer cooking our own meals and staying away from tourist areas - this was just right.

"This Property is a Wonderful Find!"

Our stay was Amazing! This property was affordable, very roomy, close to Ocean, Great Neighborhood and has a Beautiful tropical yard. The Outside shower is Awesome so you don't track sand in the house from the Beach. Very relaxing and comfortable accommodations, Beds were comfy too. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Great home!

We enjoyed our stay. Great home with everything needed for a wonderful trip. It does get very hot in the home during the day, but after it rains and in the evenings it is considerably cooler. We enjoyed the area.
