Escape to the heart of the Cumbrian countryside with a stay at Millbrook Lodge, a spacious and stylish holiday home designed for unforgettable gatherings. Combining modern comforts with tranquil surroundings, this beautiful lodge offers the perfect setting for families and friends to relax, celebrate, and explore the Lake District together.

Set in the peaceful village of Gatebeck, Millbrook Lodge sleeps up to ten guests across five comfortable bedrooms, making it an ideal choice for family reunions, group getaways, or special occasions. Thoughtfully designed with both sociability and relaxation in mind, the interiors offer plenty of space for everyone. The cosy living room is a welcoming hub for relaxed evenings, while the spacious dining room brings guests together for memorable meals. A fully equipped kitchen makes preparing food a pleasure, whether it’s a big family breakfast or a celebratory dinner.

Entertainment is at the heart of Millbrook Lodge. Guests can settle in for a film in the private cinema room, enjoy hours of fun in the games room with pool table and dart board, or unwind in the hot tub after a day of walking the fells. A gentle brook runs past the property, filling the air with the soothing sound of running water and adding to the lodge’s peaceful atmosphere.

The accommodation includes five generously sized bedrooms, two en-suite bathrooms, and a large family bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, ensuring comfort for groups of all shapes and sizes. Each bedroom has been tastefully furnished to provide a restful retreat at the end of the day.

Millbrook Lodge is perfectly located for exploring the Lake District National Park, with its endless walking trails, scenic lakes, and charming towns. Whether you’re seeking outdoor adventure or a relaxing countryside escape, the lodge offers the best of both worlds.

With its blend of luxury amenities, welcoming interiors, and serene setting, Millbrook Lodge offers far more than just a place to stay—it’s an experience designed for making memories.

Please note: If using a travel cot, guests must bring their own bedding and mattress.
1. No Smoking Indoors – Millbrook Lodge is strictly non-smoking. Smoking inside the property is not permitted. Any evidence of smoking indoors will result in a £500 cleaning fee to cover intensive cleaning.
2. Designated Smoking Area – Guests who wish to smoke may do so only in the designated outdoor smoking area at the rear of the property, accessible through the ground floor exit. Please ensure all cigarette ends are disposed of in the bins provided.
3. Outdoor Footwear – To help keep the house clean and comfortable, outdoor shoes must be removed in the entrance hall before entering the main living areas.
4. Pets Welcome – Up to three pets are welcome at Millbrook Lodge. We kindly ask that they are not allowed on the furniture.
5. Cleaning Up After Pets – Please clean up after your pets in the garden or surrounding grounds. If pet waste is left for our housekeeper to remove, a £100 charge will apply.
6. Noise Consideration – Music is welcome, but please respect our neighbours and the surrounding community by keeping noise levels reasonable. Excessive noise or disturbances will not be tolerated.
7. Events & Parties – The property is for recreational accommodation only. Parties and events are not permitted.
8. Breakages & Damage – If anything is damaged or broken during your stay, please let us know straight away so we can arrange repairs or replacements.
9. Use of Coasters – To protect the furniture, please use the coasters provided when placing glasses, cups, or mugs on surfaces.
10. Travel Cots – Baby cots are available upon request. Please bring your own bedding and linen to ensure comfort, hygiene, and safety for your child.
11. Furniture – Indoor furniture must remain in its current position and should not be moved around the property.
12. Before Departure – Guests are kindly asked to empty the bins, dishwasher, and fridge before leaving the property.
13. Most Importantly – Relax, make yourselves at home, and enjoy your stay in this beautiful house.

Perfect location

Millbrook Lodge is a lovely house - it has everything you want and more from a holiday home. We did have an issue with a beeping smoke alarm which unfortunately did not get resolved while we were there which is why I cannot give it a 5 star review.
