“I have stayed in this hotel back when it was just the Riverview and it felt like stepping into a late '80s time jump lol. After a while of indecisive curiosity, I decided to go ahead and book a room at the newly renovated DoubleTree by Hilton. I was very impressed and could not tell what it used to be. The only thing that I would say that can easily be remedied, is that the "Riverview" side of the hotel, which charges an extra $10 should be redressed. There is no view of the Cumberland river,...

“Very nice hotel. The pool could use a good cleaning or maybe an update, but it served its purpose for my kids. I wish Expedia had shown the restaurant was closed on Sundays though. I can’t say enough about the staff though. They were all so kind. Caroline was an absolute sweetheart while we ate in the lobby. She offered assistance multiple times. Would definitely stay here again when we pass through. ”

I needed a room for the night as I was stopping in town before heading to Gatlinburg and meeting my fiance. This was by far the best hotel. “I spent three nights at this hotel with my family. Overall, the hotel has a lot of good qualities—it's clean, well-maintained, and provides a comfortable environment. However, despite being a no-smoking area, the smell of cigarette smoke was noticeable in the reception area, hallways, and near the car park, where lots of spent cigarette sticks were also found close to room windows.
