“Das Zimmer war in Ordnung. Die Gamedrives haben Spaß gemacht und unser Guide hat sich wirklich bemüht die Big Five zu finden. Leider hat sich der Löwe nicht blicken lassen. Das River Lodge Game Resort ist ein Hotelbetriebmit vielen Mitarbeitern. Im Vergleich zu den Mitarbeitern und Inhabern dervielen, schönen, kleinen Gästehäusern, die wir auf unserer 3 Wochenreise kennengelernt haben, war das River Resort eher unpersönlich. “One of the best stays we have ever had! We came in late but the place and the people were warm and welcoming. The breakfast was quite literally the best I’ve ever had. Homemade bread and pastries still steaming when she brought them out! Everything gourmet and fresh, every detail of place settings planned to perfection. My wife and I were truly impressed with everything! We just love people who put that much passion into welcoming others into their home. Bravo!”

“A really lovely and relaxing place to spend a few days whilst visiting the game reserves. Very attentive staff, a large and comfy bedroom A lookout deck, pool, hammock and outdoor seating area are all lovely, and would be fabulous in warmer weather. Three course dinner (set menu) was delicious and all home-prepared on site. The dining room is also very nice, and we were seated right by the fire - very welcome in August. The shower did go cold on us twice, but I think in winter it's harder...

“I arrived early afternoon and was checked in immediately. I had forgotten to load my South Africa map on to my TomTom GPS before leaving the UK and the lady of the house helped me do this on her own computer for which I will be eternally grateful. room was nice with balcony with table and chairs and river view. Bathroom had a tub - wonderful- and there were plenty of electrical points to charge phone etc. I walked to the nearby Quay Street at dusk to the recommended brew pub where I had a couple...
