“Lily Pad #1 was impressive. The revitalization of the space was very tastefully done. It created a spark to do the same for several of the other structures in the area that just need a lift up. Some more than others, but they are ALL worth saving! The area could have so much potential! I just wish I were younger to take on some of the projects myself! “We had a wonderful anniversary trip to Nauvoo. The historic and quaint Mix House added some period charm to our stay. While the house retains much of its 19th century charm, it has the modern conveniences needed for a relaxing stay. It may have been the off season, but food and meal choices were limited in Nauvoo itself. We were grateful for the items we ordered from The Apron Bake Shoppe.”

“The hotel doesn't seem like much from the outside, however, inside is very nice. Rooms are very bigand clean, free breakfast was great, plenty of free parking, staff were very friendly and its about 25 minutes away from Nauvoo. Only issue is that there is no elevator to the second floor. ”

“Near highway, but couldn’t hear it at all. Luckily we were on this end of Ft Madison as the Mississippi bridge was closed and we had to go through Keokuk to get to Illinois. Nice hotel with very friendly staff. ”
