Perfect for our weekend stay
We loved our stay here. Very clean, comfortable , close to where we needed to go, and plenty of space for our group! Would definitely stay here again.

Awesome 2 Week Stay
My family spent the better part of 2 weeks in Bent River Extended Stay. The place is huge (lots of room to spread out)! Very clean, easy communication, great A/C, laundry on-prem, walking distance to Main Street - all around a great place to call home while visiting rural Van Buren county and enjoying the sites/sounds/tastes of the country.

Very nice place
This adorable place was exactly as advertised. The beds were comfortable and the shower great. We didn’t have time to relax in the living room but it was a very inviting and large space.

Bent River is the BEST
This place was better than a motel - had a kitchen, two bedrooms for 4 adults, shared bath, living room with dining area, a patio and plenty of space... We were within walking distance to the downtown eateries, across the street from a church we attended and the town was in the center of all the villages we wanted to visit. Couldn't have been a better place to stay.

Overview
An older house built in the 1800’s. We rented the second floor. Although old, well kept, clean with appropriate upgrades to the bathroom, HVAC and kitchen. Could use more counter space in kitchen, perhaps a small table to put toaster on, etc. Beds were very comfortable. Could use a small clock in each bedroom. The only misleading thing was the charcoal grill. The website gave the impression it was on the porch of our floor. Actually it is on a porch of the first floor. No local cable tv although you could get Netflix. All in all spacious and private. We would stay there again if in the area and do recommend it.

Lovely place in small town Iowa
This was such a wonderful find in Kia aqua, Iowa! There was so much space, and these incredibly comfortable couches and even a little electric fireplace that actually put out heat! Huge TV and we really enjoyed. Just relaxing after working. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels and kitchen appliances, we communicated with the owner and she was incredibly quick and responsive when we needed a question answered. If you do stay here, just keep in mind there’s only one grocery store and it’s closed on Sundays. We would definitely come back if we were in the area.

Enjoyed our stay
We enjoyed Van Buren County. This house was great. It was very nicely done. Bed very comfortable Area is interesting ; however , some stores were only open on weekends this time of year. We did a lot of geocaching and enjoyed the countryside. Convenient location. Communication with owner was great. We would stay again if in the area.

Visiting our daughter at Grinnell College
We had a very good time enjoying the house for four days during our daughter's Spring Break. Linens, towels and kitchen utensils were like new and the house was very clean, beautifully decorated with everything we need at hand. Also, the owner was very helpful in providing us information about places to visit.

Beautiful home
We all enjoyed the clean lovely home in a quiet neighborhood close to many fun day trips. The house is immaculate and tastefully decorated with very comfortable beds. The large dining room table was super comfortable for eating and playing games. Would recommmend and make return visit.

Perfect weekend getaway

Great
Our stay was great. I did feel sort of uncomfortable at night that we were bothering the family below us. The entire house is hard wood so its not uncommon for them to be noisy. We just have odd sleep schedules and did not want to disturb the people below us. The house is very large so there is a lot of room. The couch and recliner were very comfortable. There were plenty of places to sleep whether bedrooms or living room if you chose. The fireplace was a plus for tge kids because you could change the led lights different colors. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen furnished completely, plenty of towels, washcloths, etc. It was really nice. If you need a large space it is perfect. House has all original molding around door frames, stained glass window is gorgeous, etc. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Cozy house with a lot of character
Beautiful house with a lot of character. It has everything you will need for a feel like home stay. The property owner is very nice and will go way beyond to make your stay a pleasant one. The property is in a quiet small town great for relaxing and getting away from the city stress. If you are looking a place to relax and slow down, this is the place.

Perfect space and location
We enjoyed our stay in Keosauqua Iowa. The space and location worked well for the 3 of us. It's a beautiful old house. The bedrooms were nice and comfortable and the bathroom, kitchen and living room were fine.

Very nice unit, everything you could need.
Great place and large rooms. Everything provided you could need for a great stay. Unit was very clean and could sleep 6 with comfort. Only draw back was a few to many steps from the street to the 2nd floor unit, so if you have bad knees might not be a good choice. Overall our group plans on staying again love the town and location. Walking distance to restaurants and down town shops make it a perfect place to stay.

A totally comfortable stay - clean and lovely!
We stayed for two nights. Owner Julie was very helpful and accommodating. The rental includes 2 large bedrooms and living room, all nicely decorated and very comfortable, kitchen, bathroom with tub/shower, small interior nook area, and a deck on the front. Location is very close to downtown for restaurants, bars and ice cream, and within a few short minutes to Lake Seguma. A great place to relax with comforts of home. Thanks, Julie!
