The space
The Rock House blends rustic mountain charm with modern comforts. Recently updated and thoughtfully equipped, this riverfront retreat is designed to provide everything guests need for a relaxing and memorable stay along the beautiful Kern River.

The main cabin features:
• 3 bedrooms
• 1 King bedroom
• 1 King bedroom
• 1 Queen bedroom overlooking the Kern River
• 2 Twin beds in the common area
• 2 Full bathrooms

Just steps from the main cabin, the detached guest suite features:
• 1 King bed
• 1 Full-over-Full bunk bed
• 1 Twin trundle bed
• 1 Full bathroom

This makes The Rock House perfect for families and friends traveling together while still providing plenty of space and privacy.

Outside, guests can enjoy two spacious decks and a large backyard overlooking the Kern River. Sip your morning coffee, enjoy a meal outdoors, or simply relax while taking in the sights and soothing sounds of the river flowing below. The outdoor entertaining area features a BBQ grill, a large propane cook station with flat-top griddle capabilities, and an outdoor refrigerator, making it easy to gather with family and friends and enjoy the beautiful riverfront setting.

This home is NOT 10 minutes from the entrance of the Sequoia National Forest. It is 45 minutes from the Trail of 100 Giants.

Seasonal Power Safety Shutoffs
During the summer months, our mountain community may experience Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) issued by Southern California Edison (SCE). These temporary outages may occur during periods of high winds, low humidity, and elevated wildfire danger to help reduce the risk of wildfires.

While power shutoffs are not common, they are possible during your stay and are beyond our control. If a PSPS event is expected, we will do our best to notify you as soon as we receive updates.

Cell phone service may also become limited or intermittent if nearby cellular towers lose power or become congested. Cable and internet providers may experience service interruptions as well. We recommend bringing portable battery packs to keep phones and other essential devices charged, especially during the summer wildfire season.

These precautionary shutoffs are implemented by Southern California Edison to help protect lives, property, and the surrounding Kern River Valley from catastrophic wildfires. We appreciate your understanding, as these events are outside of our control but play an important role in keeping our community safe.

This property is equipped with a generator which will turn on automatically in the event of a power outage.
