“The hotel was dirty, from the hallways to the rooms. The bed had no blanket or sheets; instead, they had been placed behind the pillows.
The bathroom sink was extremely difficult to use. To stand in front of it, you had to put one foot on an upper step and the other on a lower step. The sink was very small, and a shelf beneath the mirror covered about three-quarters of it. When I tried to wash my face, my head or hand would hit the shelf and water would spill everywhere.
