Kam Sands 9-310 is the perfect spot to enjoy your Maui Vacation! Located central to all resort amenities and across the street from Kam III, you are a short stroll from pool time, beach access with great snorkeling, playground and huge grass area perfect for sports activities and ideal for flying a kite.
With lightwood throughout and tasteful island décor, this condo feels like a great little beach house. Newer kitchen offers plenty of space to prep meals and all appliances, cookware and utensils you will need to whip up Sunday brunch and sunset dinners. Enjoy dinner for 2 at the inside dining table or move out to the lanai for a romantic meal al fresco with views of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Keep an eye out for Humpback Whales during Winter months!
After dinner, unwind with your favorite shows streamed on the Smart TV. AC in living room and bedroom if you find you’re a little warm after spending the day in the sun. Bonus sleeper sofa to accommodate up to 4 guests.
Bedroom features King Sized bed and en suite full bathroom and has its own TV for movie nights snuggled up in bed.
Second full bathroom makes getting ready for dinner or a beach day easy for you both. Washer and dryer in this condo for your use to make packing light an option.

The Kamaole Sands complex is located on 15 tropical acres, meticulously landscaped with many fragrant and beautiful trees and flowers. Just across the street from popular Kamaole III beach and park with primo sunset viewing areas and nice playground and facilities. Property features include the following amenities: Fitness Center with Weights/Treadmill Plus, Swimming Pool and Showers, Kiddie Pool and Hot Tub, Adult Hot Tub, Snack Bar Plus Poolside, Wednesday Pool Party, BBQ Grills, 4 Tennis Courts, Visitor Parking, Near Beach, Near Golf Course and Close to Town! Just moments from shopping and dining including Fred’s Mexican Café, Café O’lei, 808 Deli, and Maui Thai Bistro.

We enjoyed our stay at this property, well equipped with what is needed. There needs some information with the tv, I did call Caldwell Bankers but they were unable to help me. The main bathroom had no hangers for towels, looks like there might have been some hooks at one time. The shower has no enclosure.

Ideal location

I give this five stars based on the location alone. It is in one of the Kamaole Sands buildings located closest to the beach, and it's almost quicker to walk to the beach than it is to the swimming pool. The view from the lanai is fantastic. Every day I sat there with my binoculars and saw dozens of whale spouts -- and sometimes the breaching whales themselves. The cleanliness of the place was up to luxury hotel standards. I noticed a bit of a musty smell in the bathroom, but I never figured out why because it was spotless. Like other reviewers, I had trouble figuring out the TV situation. Some instructions would help. Overall, this is a great spot next to a fantastic beach (Kamaole III) and close to more great beaches in both Kihei and in Wailea, which is just down the road.

Best birthday week in a long time!!!

We stayed in this unit Monday to Saturday and it was awesome. The location is fantastic with the beach right across the street and so many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The property is beautiful and the staff are so friendly. The unit itself was fabulous, we actually didn't even need to contact the owner for anything. The lanai is amazing for sunsets and whale watching, the bed was comfy and the bedroom stayed cool, the kitchen was great and the living space was comfortable and roomy. My only suggestions to the owner would be to provide travel cups and a beach umbrella but other than that this place was perfect and we would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful unit

This unit is absolutely beautiful. Great location to take in the chill Hawaiian vibes. You can see the water perfectly from the balcony. Very quiet calm neighborhood and a few minute walk to the beach!

9-310 Kamaole Sands

The property was stunning and beautiful as always. This is the second year we’ve stayed in the same condo. I would highly recommend a new television in the bedroom. It’s very hard to watch as it has lights shining through it and you can sometimes not see the picture. It was this way last year as well. Otherwise the condo is very nice.

Week in Kihei

Good location and well stocked with beach chairs available for use. Clean and two AC units to keep the unit cool. Lanai looks over the parking lot but ocean views in distance. Quiet and comfortable place to stay for the week!

Kamaole Sands is our favourite place to stay when visiting Maui but not in this unit. Kitchen was lacking in utensils, plates , mugs so we had to wash dishes after every meal. Can opener was cheap and rusted , no baking sheets and there was only one large unsharp knife for meal prep. The AC unit in the bedroom was uncomfortably loud and you cannot adjust the settings. We slept poorly for all nine nights as AC made so much noise at night but it was too hot to turn it off and use only the ceiling fan. Microwave hood fan only had one setting also - high . Toaster was cheap and only burned not toast. We pre-arranged and paid for late check out for 10 pm but got locked out at 10 am. Unit was clean with amazing view form the lanai . Lots of towels for both bathrooms and beach towels for beach or pool. I would not recommend this unit and it definitely put a hamper on our recent visit to Maui with the price we paid and the subpar equipment and supplies in this unit

Nice condo in South Kihei

We found the condo clean and welcoming. Loved the keyless entry lock. We had family that had to use and keep track of keys in another condo. The lanai isn’t large but perfect for two people. We could see the ocean from the lanai. There is air conditioning in the living room and bedroom and also ceiling fans. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped with cooking and serving equipment. We are only two and it was nice to have a bathroom for each. There are two other gated entrances into the property (besides the main entry) which we appreciated. The pool is good, also a kids pool and two hot tubs, one for adults only. We are amazed at the beautiful grounds and the 3 large very nice bar-b-que areas. A nice beach and grassy park is just across the road in front of Kamaole Sands. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The check in process and instructions very easy to follow. Condo was very nicely decorated, comfortable bed and living room furniture. The suite was very clean. Good air conditioners in living room and bedroom. Kitchen was well equipped with dishes. Disappointments: the beach umbrella was very cheap quality without tilt so we had to rent a better one, there was not a beach bag provided, the 3 beach towels were thin and ragged looking, no reusable bags for shopping, no laundry basket. We were disappointed that there were not any condiments left other than salt and pepper. I guess this was a bonus in previous condos we have rented. Unfortunately the shower handle in the ensuite malfunctioned and the water could not be shut off on New Years Eve evening. We were not able to reach the condo manager but the Kamaole Sands front desk staff were very helpful get the problem fixed. Overall a very nice condo with a lovely view of the ocean.

Awesome property and location.

Great location and complex. Very well maintained and fantastic hot tub and pool. Kitchen had everything you need. Washer and dryer was a huge bonus. Quiet and the sunset views from the lanai were priceless. Outdoor grill and picnic tables for guests to use. Very clean. 5 minute walk to boat dock for Molokini snorkel tour. We chose not to have a car, but we had an assigned parking spot. Security personnel on-site. Highly recommend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice Unit in Kam Sands, But Missing a Few Things and A/C Issues

My husband and I have stayed at Kamaole Sands a few times so generally knew what to expect from the building and the unit. This is one of the older units (i.e. not recently renovated) and I booked it without pictures of the interior due to the lower price. While the unit itself is fine, there are some key things missing that I would expect from Kam Sands units - there were no chairs or beach items in the closet on the balcony and no basic kitchen supplies (cooking oil, basic spices). Also no Keurig machine and provided coffee pods, which are really nice when you have arrived late the night before. However, the major issue was with the A/C unit in the bedroom. I contacted the rental company saying it was extremely loud and asking someone to look at it, but no one did. Be warned that this unit is like sleeping with a tornado in your bedroom - it's not like white noise or any A/C unit I've experienced in a hotel or rental before. If you are used to central air or ductless A/C wall-mounted units, this will likely be intolerably loud to you, but also if you are staying in the summer you'll need A/C to sleep at night... Also note that because of the orientation of this unit, it can be quite dark inside (it runs parallel to the shore, so no sunset or ocean views unless you perch yourself in a one specific spot on the deck as shown in the picture).
