Highly Recommend!
This property epitomizes pride and hospitality, it was spotless and well appointed, with lots of small cozy touches. Ashley and Aaron are amazing, friendly and helpful. It was by far my best rental, would highly recommend!

Just what the doctor ordered!
Everything was perfect! The house was even better than the pictures. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub and just being able to relax away from the hustle and bustle. Would highly recommend to anyone but especially if you have little ones because the house is stocked with games, puzzles, toys and movies.

Cozy Family Getaway
We arrived to a wonderfully cozy place and had the best week. The owners are not just in this to make some extra cash. The hospitally is top notch. We traveled with a 10 month old and when we arrived there were toys, blankets, and snacks provided completely to our surprise. Our baby loved the place and it quickly felt like home. The pictures dont do the patio or yard justice. It is truly a beautiful place to stay. We would highly recommend this place for a trip to the OBX.

Amazing clean and friendly! :)
everything met our expectations, the house was clean with fresh towels, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and even a hair dryer. The fridge was stocked with drinks and they even had snacks and coffee ready to go! plenty of board games, a wii, and movies in case you want a night in. The people who own it were very friendly and had continuous communication with us. This is the best property I’ve stayed in and I look forward to coming back next year!

Gorgeous, cozy, & amazingly accommodating stay!
My husband and I stayed here for our baby moon at the end of June and everything was amazing! The home was gorgeous, cleanly and offered many different bonus attractions (bikes, hot tub, games, drinks and snacks, ideas of landmarks to visit and local food spots to try ). The details that Ashley and Aaron included in our stay were so greatly appreciated! When we come back to the OBX, we will definitely book our stay with them again!

Top Notch accommidations! Super friendly and helpful hosts.
Ashely and Aaron have a great space with lots of ammenities in a central location that's perfect for exploring the Outer Banks. They gave us some great advice before and during our stay so we could make the most of our trip. We enjoyed the secluded back yard and private entrance, and especially the hot tub after a long day of adventure. Hopefully I'll get to visit them again soon.

The space was very well appointed with decorations and thoughtful offerings from shampoo/conditioner to drinks & snacks in the kitchenette. There were plenty of good books & games but we were on the go too much to utilize them ourselves. You are in a neighborhood but close to everything at the same time.

Good Times in OBX
The pictures didn't do this property justice. It had everything we needed to thoroughly enjoy our first trip to the Outer Banks. It was centrally located to just about everything. The property itself was very relaxing and spa like. The amount of thought and attention to detail were astounding.

Amazing Hosts and Property!!!
Aaron and Ash have a great little rental. This was perfect for our family of 3 but can easily accommodate 5-6 adults! Super close to the beach and all things Outer Banks. Proactive hosts and sent us alll the recommendations for their area. Would highly recommend their place 10/10!!

Great home near the beach
Great home in a quiet neighborhood tucked away from the busier area by the beach. The home was very clean and well stocked with great amenities. It's about a 3 minute drive to the beach with plenty of free public parking. Host was very responsive up to and during our stay if we needed anything. We would definitely come back to stay here again!

Green Gables at OBX is the place to be!
Nestled in a quiet residential area, this location was PERFECT for our home base. Centrally located within the beach community, it was so easy to go on our little excursions during the day and come back for a quick change, bite to eat, or nap before going into the next activity. Would love to come again!

Would stay again :)
Place was so clean and so cute, even better than the pictures! Host was very attentive, even helped us get the grill started! Only non favorable points is there is no stovetop and the host lives in the home directly above the space you will stay in. As long as you don't mind those points I would highly recommend. They have a microwave, toaster oven, and grill to offset the lack of stovetop. My friends and I also very much enjoyed the hot tub! The place is located about a 5 minute drive from the beach!

Perfect location for exploring the OBX
Our family of 3 had a perfect stay and enjoyed exploring the OBX. This is a very charming and clean apartment located in a quiet neighbourhood. Ash and Aaron were very welcoming and responsive. We had limited time and their advice on places to visit was very helpful. If you are looking to spend some relaxing time and explore the OBX, this is the perfect place to stay.

Amazing - Highly Recommend!
I can't begin to describe how comfortable and welcoming this place is, as well as the graciousness of the hosts. The communication was flawless and the directions were very thorough. The location is perfect -- you're tucked away in a quiet neighborhood that provides all of the serenity you need and quick access to the beach. I highly recommend staying here -- I know I will rebook this VRBO for my next trip to OBX.

Lovely, jewel of a home away from home!!!!
There aren't enough awesome things I can say about Green Gables Retreat! Tucked into a quiet neighborhood, Ash and Aaron have such a jewel of a place to stay! Their location was in proximity to everything we had planned to do which made everything so convenient for us. After driving from Corolla all the way to Hatteras Island and then some, it became very clear how nice of a location Green Gable Retreat really was. It's not smack in the middle of heavy traffic and pedestrians everywhere...it's peaceful. It's cozy. It's relaxing and comfortable. It's minutes from the beach and the soundside, close to Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers' Memorial in Kill Devil Hills which was a halfway point to everything we planned to see and/or do. My 7 yr old grandson and I enjoyed the wii games provided, the many options on the Fire TV, board games and DVD's as well as books, puzzles, magazines and coloring books. Fluffy thick towels were provided as well as a very comfortable bed and soft bedding. My grandson chose to sleep on the futon and felt like a big kid in his own space at night. Ash and Aaron provided an array of snacks and waters and sodas in the mini fridge. Being in a beachy area, having a washer and dryer were so helpful and knowing that ahead of time I was able to pack light! Appliances provided were all we could have needed or wanted and a broom and dustpan allowed me to tidy up after my grandson in terms of crumbs and sand! Our space was so clean and spotless! The tile in the bathroom literally had a shine to it! The decor is peaceful, yet trendy and cozy. Upon our arrival which was late at night due to our flight being delayed, we arrived to the porch lights on, with string lights in the tree to show us the way on a smooth rock path. As we entered, Ash had turned on relaxing music with soft lighting which was calming after a stressful drive at night in the rain. Personal touches like that made us feel welcome. We felt like it was our own very private space as well. We used the hot tub one night, which was nice after a lot of walking. Aaron and Ash provide a manual with lots of recommendations and how to's for inside and outdoor use of their home, as well as local eateries. I would not hesitate one second to stay here again.

A Wonderful Experience!
If you are looking for a home away from home, this is it. The home is immaculate, and well oufitted....even to the water and snacks provided. It is well located to everything that we wanted to do. Need suggestions as to places to go, Ashley and Aaron are willing to head you in the right direction. They even responded to our questions before we arrived. We were only in OBX for 3 days, but would not hesitate to return to this home, Ashley and Aaron are wonderful hosts, and made us feel quite welcomed!

Hotels are RUINED for me!
We loved our hosts and our short-term home-away-from-home. The comfort, care, and consideration of every element of this property are phenomenal. It was all so lovely: the comfort of the mattress, the fluffy towels, fresh flowers and pebble walk, the cozy backyard retreat and perfect-reading swings, and the adorable interior positively made me never want to stay in a hotel again. We were absolutely awed by the care put into this quaint and quiet escape. It was the perfect location near walking paths, attractions and a mile from the beach. 10 stars out of 5... if we ever wander back this way, we will look for the Green Gables again.

Graduation Celebration Trip
We had the most wonderful time in the Outer Banks and having such a warm and wonderful place to stay was the icing on the cake. So easy to get to everything from the location. We drove to beach, about a mile, and the access was free and easy. They had everything we needed. My sister and I took our daughters to celebrate their graduation! Totally would come stay again!! The hosts were friendly, helpful and so sweet! Thank for everything!!!!

This place was wonderful! Very clean, unexpectedly stocked with snacks and drinks, comfortable bed and furniture, and was in the perfect location. We rode bikes around the neighborhood and to the brewery. Highly recommend!

Home away from Home
This property was beautiful, inside and outside! I enjoyed relaxing outside on the hammock swing with a good book and surrounded by nature. The bed was soft and comfortable. The hosts were thoughtful and accommodating. It was a relaxing, enjoyable weekend getaway!

More than just a place to stay!
We were looking for a getaway and some r&r on the beach and got so much more! Not only was the place recently remodeled, very clean, delightfully decorated, and super close to the public beach, but also the hosts went above and beyond to help us make the most of our trip. Upon learning we are vegetarian, Ashley got a list of recommendations from a friend and sent them to us, AND put vegetarian menus in the apartment so they were handy. From leaving tasty treats, snacks and drinks, to quickly answering any question, they tailored their answers based on our needs. This was especially helpful because you won't swiftly learn from Trip Advisor about the peaceful and isolated beach on Pea Island, the beautiful views from Jeanette's Pier, or the cute shops along the pier in Duck. They were very respectful of our space, super responsive to all messages before and during our trip, and a lovely family. If we go back to OBX in the future, we will definitely stay here again!

The owner was very nice and friendly and we would love to come back! The apartment was very clean and nice! It definitely felt very homey and the little kitchen was perfect for breakfast time and snacks!
