Look no further for your dream beach cottage at a dream price point! Carolina Dream is in the heart of Kill Devil Hills, just 1400 ft to the beach via the Atlantic Street public beach access. Featuring updated flooring and furniture, this 4 bedroom cottage has 3 bedrooms downstairs and one upstairs with the spacious open-concept living/kitchen/dining areas. Plenty of shopping, local restaurants, and popular attractions are nearby and the beautiful waters of the Atlantic are just a short couple of minutes walk away.
**Please note that the VRBO service fee will be instantly charged upon booking by VRBO but all rents, host fees, and taxes will be processed by Cola Vaughan Realty within 24 hours of booking and Cola Vaughan Realty will handle all of the details of your stay**

So Much Wasted Potential

overall the property was nice, there were minor issues throughout our stay that did raise concern. First being while yes the house was cleaned, a better job could have been done, in one of the rooms on the first floor in the TV cabinet was alcohol from a previous guest along with what looked like food crumbs. On the steps there were countless nails that needed replaced as they were sticking out, my mother stepped on one and it did puncture her skin. I found it concerning we were unable to lock the front door from the inside, it had to be done with the key from the outside. The kitchen needs updating as the caulk between the counters and the wall was clearly old, and needing re-done. The lawn was unkept to say the least, the grass must not of been cut in weeks. The carport was nice, its a shame though the owner did not choose to concrete the entire carport (the small grassy/sandy area, covered in poison ivy I might add) it would of made a great sitting area, hang some lights, maybe even a built in bar so those renting the house can gather and relax together down there. So much could be done with this property to make it more appealing, but overall it served its purpose and was a nice place. close to the beach.

Things could be better

Over all it was okay. However there was a distinct smell under the counters. The furniture is old. The bath room toilets were old and got clogged several times. The front deck was uninviting The stairs had popping nails/screws.and the railing isn't very secure. If the owners would update several items they would command a better price. Also the lawn looks like it hadn't bee mowed in weeks Would we come back -no

Great location

2 min walk to beach. Very convenient to stores, restaurants in the area. This place fit our family needs and expectations. I would only encourage to upgrade appliances (stove) is outdated and power wash the deck. Price was just right for our budget and what we needed for location and amenities.

Great spot. Responsive management.

This home is in a great spot, it’s definitely no frills but plenty comfortable. There were a few concerns that management addressed immediately, nails in the steps that had popped up, issue with back stairs, overall a nice stay, would stay again!

Comfortable

The place was in a great area. It had a perfect # of bedrooms and worked well with our schedule. I do have jsut a few things. Both outside steps were either cracked and were wobbley, and I did fall at one point. The top deck had a couple broken rails when we got there and the bedroom with two beds the blind was broken. It is a little outdated. also, the stove had an issue with the two big burners. The couch and the queen beds were comfortable. The internet was out the last two days we were there. We did enjoy ourselves and thank you. Have a great day.
