La Carolina del Mar is a calm, design-forward coastal retreat in the Outer Banks, intentionally set up for guests who prefer a quieter, boutique-style stay. With two King bedrooms and two Queen bedrooms, high-speed Wi-Fi, and open, comfortable living spaces, the home is ideal for couples, close friends, and professionals who value relaxation, productivity, and meaningful connection.

Many of our guests are caregivers, educators, medical professionals, and remote workers using their time here to reset. Whether you're catching your breath between busy seasons, working from the coast, or simply looking for a calm place to recharge by the ocean, La Carolina del Mar offers a serene setting for real rest and unrushed time together.

La Carolina del Mar is centrally located in the town of Kill Devil Hills. Within easy driving distance of many local favorites such as Jeanette's Pier, Jockey's Ridge, Outlets Nags Head Outlet Shopping, Bodie Island Lighthouse, Coquina Beach, the Wright Brothers National Memorial and the NC Aquarium in Manteo, the property is also minutes from fine and casual dining, grocery stores and much more!

First Trip to OBX

Very happy with the house and location. Enough room for family of 6. Only issue was with downstairs A/C reported issue on Sunday, it was not fixed until Tuesday. Once fixed it only worked partially for rest of our stay.

La Carolina Del Mar, Perfect home to leave some footprints in the sand

It must have been a stroke of luck for this gem, La Carolina Del Mar, to be available. I needed a vacay after a move. It was just the place to relax. Eric and Julia are great hosts. Their home is beautiful, inside and out. I found all the outside seating gave me great choices to enjoy whether reading, eating or just relaxing. The hot tub became a special gathering place for all of the family. It was a special surprise that the outdoor shower had both hot and cold water. There are flat screens TVs on both levels for group viewing, as well as, in we every bedroom. That is a feature that will be hard to beat anywhere. My grandchildren certainly enjoyed them and there were less fights about what to watch. Extra refrigerator came in very handy for beverages. Made it especially easy to stock the cooler before heading to the beach. I regret that we did not have a chance to set up the cornhole. Hopefully, next time.
