'Down by the Sea' è una bellissima casa sull'oceano a Kill Devil Hills. Questa casa con 5 camere da letto, 4 bagni e mezzo ha tutto ciò di cui la tua famiglia ha bisogno per una vacanza indimenticabile! Goditi la comodità dell'ingresso senza chiave e un ascensore che arriva a ogni piano. Il livello superiore è luminoso e aperto e dispone di una grande sala grande con TV a schermo piatto, mobile bar e camino a gas (solo in bassa stagione), zona pranzo, cucina e camera da letto matrimoniale. Il livello medio ha 4 camere da letto e 2 bagni e il livello inferiore ha una sala ricreativa con un tavolo da biliardo e biliardino, una zona salotto con schermo piatto e un ampio bagno completo / zona lavanderia. All'aperto, ti divertirai a trascorrere del tempo nella piscina privata, nella vasca idromassaggio e nei ponti arredati. Very clean. No sand or grit anywhere. No shade options in pool area. No functional lighting in pantry but pantry very large and spacious to use if you dont mind using your phone flashlight. Great hot tub & pool. Fun beachy decorations throughout. Very nice elevator.

Property was wonderful, some upgrades are needed

We had a wonderful time at your rental for our vacation. Property was beautiful as described and walking distance to the beach. A few upgrades would make it perfect. The mattresses could be replaced, they were very soft with no support. We had a group of 10 and there was plenty of room for us but the kitchen cookware didn't work for a large family. There were only small size pots/pans. Very difficult to cook for a large group. The shower heads had week pressure and could be upgraded. With these upgrades 5he rental would be perfect!

We had a great time. The house was . everything we expected. We had a little trouble figuring out the TV's but we got it eventually We also weren't sure about the recycling . The container wasn't picked up the whole week

Better in photos

The location is great. That said the photos don't accurately represent the house. The house was dirty, screens broken with large holes and the upper deck had spindles on the railing loose that my 20 month old daughter could have fell through. When we turned on the master tub brown dirt came out which was clearly not cleaned prior to our arrival. Also, getting the property management team was like pulling teeth to get a response.

Down By The Sea Fantastico

Down By The Sea was the perfect name for this rental. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach, and if you didn't want to go to the beach, there is a nice pool and hot tub to enjoy. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and lots to do in the area. The house itself, was as described. PERFECT!

Too cold vacation

Unable to use the pool, not open until May 1st. This property recently sided, debris all over the ground, the company should have cleaned better. Also speakers not hooked up for outside or in the game room. DVD was broke, but property replaced 2 days later. All as stated, heating and air worked well. Elevator worked well. Ample parking. The property was suitable for the family and served it's purpose. I would recommend it, but wait till later in May due to weather to book. Some cosmetics needed attention, I left a list loved keyless entry.

Not good save your money.

We rented this for Christmas 2021. The lay out of the house was great as far as the number of beds and baths. The elevator was awesome and helpful. The bad was the beds the master bedroom mattress had springs popping out we got NO SLEEP. The pots and pans were few and out dated and rusty. The pillows had slobber stains could not use them. Could not tell if the sheets were dingy our if they were off white. The carpet needs cleaning all the furniture needs to be replaced. I will not rent this house again. It was horrible. Not even sure if they cleaned the house. I found a old bottle of grape juice under the couch. Overall I give this house a 3.. Please do upgrades to this house especially the beds. No one wants to pay money and feel like they are in a motel 6.

Perfect house for multiple families and pets!

The house was fantastic and made our stay easy. We enjoyed the pool and location, close to everything. We were 3 blocks from the wedding we came to town for, so perfect!

A Great Family Week

Overall, the stay was great! The house was a comfortable fit for us. There was plenty of space for us to dine in and all bedrooms were comfortable. The pool was clean and it was a nice break from the beach. The only thing we were disappointed with was the grill. It needs a deep cleaning but we used it once and had brought grill grate covers so we did ok. We were within walking distance to the beach and eateries.

Great location, amenities

The house was great for our large group of friends, as we managed to spread out throughout the house to work and never felt on top of each other. Some things were lacking in the features (i.e., foosball ball was missing) and I'd say that the kitchen appliances, particularly the pots/pans, need an upgrade (we ended up having to buy our own pots to use at Walmart, as the size of the ones provided couldn't accommodate portions for more than 3 people). The only other qualm I had with this rental agencies specifically was the check-in process. Firstly, we are only allowed to enter the house between 4-6 pm to check in, and we have to check out by 10 am. The fact that these are the hours, yet we're still charged a full extra day, is a bit ridiculous to me. Additionally, the rental agency told me to call the morning of check-in so they could tell us when we could enter the house. When I called the morning of, they said they wouldn't be able to provide me a time, and that it would just be "sometime between 4-6 pm". As a group of people who traveled 6 hours to get to the beach house, it was very frustrating not to be able to get a clear sense of when the house was ready. We ended up aiming for 5 pm just to be safe, however when we were on the road I got a text message at 4:01 pm to let me know that the house was ready. Given that it's such a late check-in window, I think that the rental property should communicate better with the cleaning company so out of towners don't have to have such a large window to guesstimate. Lastly, I followed instructions and downloaded the rental agency's app, which promised to inform me of all the details of my house. Nonetheless, when I tried to determine the basic features of our house, such as whether towels/linens would be provided, the app only offered a vague "linens might be provided" answer. I ultimately had to email the rental agency to find this information out on my own. My first email went unanswered, and it was only after I called them several times that I got a response. Thus, one piece of feedback I'd provide is for the rental agency to maintain clearer descriptions of the house so the renters don't have to bend over backward to prepare for their stay. Besides these little hiccups, this was a great house that I'd recommend to everyone who wants a short walk to the beach.

Great Location and House

We enjoyed our stay. The house could use some end of summer upkeep (water furnace not working properly, detached toilet seat, light bulbs need replacement throughout the house, broken toaster oven) but the house itself is great and an easy walk to the beach.

Good location, nice stay.

The house was in a great location. The property management was easy to communicate with and booking was fast & easy. My only complaint is that it wasn’t as clean as I would have thought, especially considering it’s during Covid. Countertops were only surface cleaned (I moved the appliances to place things on the counter to find crumbs, liquid and coffee stains). One of the bathroom sinks still had some toothpaste left in it. We cleaned and were prepared just to be safe. There are several chairs that are in need of replacement in the kitchen bar. Some blinds are broken. Pots and pans were so random, with a few ready to be replaced. We managed just fine though. The toaster oven is on its last leg. Small Things, but you can just tell the house needs some TLC. I would rent it again however, it was a nice stay.

Happy Days

We all really enjoyed our stay - it's a beautiful beach house with soo many amenities. The house was clean and everything worked as it should. Could use some newer kitchen items but it had what was needed. Loved the Game Room and the elevator. The pool and hot tub were in excellent condition even though it was too chilly for us to use them. Would definitely recommend to others and would be happy to stay again.
