Pura Vida: Water Views | Private Backyard

From the spiral staircase and French doors to the unique layout and bonus spaces, Pura Vida delivers ALL the character that you don't always see in your average beach house. The charming backyard is a thoughtfully landscaped paradise, surrounded by mature vegetation for plenty of privacy. A well-maintained grass lawn is perfect for kids and yard games. Recently remodeled, the kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances and gorgeous quartz countertops. The chef in the family will appreciate the five-burner gas range and the main level's open-concept layout, where they can still socialize even while preparing meals. After a day of fun in the sun, retreat to the newly updated primary suite that includes a private bath with jetted tub. It also features a cozy nook with daybed - the perfect spot for reading, catching up with work or an afternoon nap. Upstairs, the ship's watch provides an alternative sleeping option along with access to an expansive sun deck with views of the sound.

Pura Vida is within walking distance to the picturesque Bay Drive, where you'll find a multi-use path that runs for two miles along the soundside of Kill Devil Hills. It's the best place in town to walk, bike or simply enjoy a spectacular sunset while exploring the neighborhood. Launch your kayaks and other small vessels at the nearby Arch Street public sound access, just a five-minute walk away. Centrally located at Milepost 5.5 in Kill Devil Hills, you'll also be within a mile radius of coffee shops and popular dining options such as Chili Peppers Coastal Grill, Henry's and Trio. Bring your bicycles so you can bike to the Helga Street public beach access located half a mile away. For guests who prefer to drive to the beach, take advantage of ample free parking at the Hayman Blvd access just a mile from the house.

Can’t stay an entire week? Pura Vida offers short stays and flexible arrival/departure options for those who like to plan ahead. Reserve partial week stays (three-night minimum) months in advance, and choose any day of the week for check-in and check-out.

We loved our stay in Kitty Hawk. The house and neighborhood were so much nicer than we expected. We only brought 4 people with us this time, but we could have easily brought other members of our family without feeling like we were always right on top of each other. There is a huge family space for us to eat meals, play games and to just hang out and relax. My wife enjoyed the many reading nooks where she could disappear to have her morning quiet time, and my kids enjoyed being able to disappear up into the upper most room via the spiral staircase.The location was phenomenal. Navigating the area was a breeze, and the neighborhood was so quiet. From the top floor deck, we could see the ocean to our left as well as a greater view of the bay to our right. There is an actual bike path at the end of the road that we used to bike the 5 miles straight to the Wright Brothers Memorial. Along the path were many opportunities to sit out over the water.We came over New Years, and the nearby town of Manteo had a great family friendly celebration. We enjoyed their 8:00 firework show over the water and then returned to the house and enjoyed another set of firework shows from the upper deck at midnight.We were not there to watch TV (except for the countdown to midnight), but we did have issues with the remotes (possibly mixed up and in the wrong rooms). I’m not the most tech savvy person, but this was not a problem since I could control the TVs through my phone. The wifi was

The home is beautiful and well equipped. My family loved the kitchen. A couple of things that could use some attention. The towels at Motel 6 are better than the thin white,old towels we had. Only one kitchen towel. The bathtub/jet tub in the master across from kitchen needs to be cleaned. The jets have black mold, one quick Clorox should fix that. And the trash bags were cheap and not for a kitchen trash and recycling. We’d come back if we knew they took care of a couple of things. It was a great location just a 5 minute walk to my friends beautiful home/pool.

Our stay at Pura Vida was amazing! The house was clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed yo cook dinner. We walked to the sound at night to watch the sunset and the ocean beach is just a short drive from the house. Would definitely stay here again! Restaurants and grocery stores nearby too.

Nice house!

Loved the house and was very spacious. Wish it had more towels and dish rags. We traveled by plane and wish the house supplied some beach chairs and umbrella. Other than that it was a perfect stay!

Wonderful stay

First time in OBX. The house was perfect! Great layout, very spacious and good location. It would be a short walk to the beach but we chose to drive because of the threat of storms! Definitely coming back.
