  • Start planning your next OBX getaway at Mason's Beach House Getaway, a beautifully designed new construction in the heart of Kill Devil Hills. With vaulted ceilings and a neutral color palette, the open-concept great room is a bright and refreshing space for spending time with family and friends. The living area leads out to a porch overlooking the newly sodded yard. Back inside, get dinner started in the kitchen with stainless steel appliances and quartz countertops. The island provides plenty of prep space and bar seating for breakfast or casual meals. Perfect for sandy feet and paws returning from the beach, LVP flooring runs throughout the home, even in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The primary suite includes a king bed and private bath with dual vanities and a stunning custom shower. A second bedroom and a full hall bath will comfortably accommodate family or friends. Downstairs, a third bedroom and full bath is located on the lower level, ideal for guests looking for more separation and privacy. There's also a generously sized bonus room that can be used as a second living area or a hangout space for the kids. It's equipped with a wet bar and mini fridge for convenient drinks and snacks without having to go upstairs.

    Centrally located at milepost 6 in Kill Devil Hills, Mason's Beach House Getaway is close to shopping, dining, and family-friendly activities including mini-golf and a movie theater. Ride bikes to the beach or Avalon Fishing Pier, just half a mile away. Guests can use the nearby community sound access for launching kayaks and SUP's. In the evenings, take your four-legged companion for a walk down the multi-use path along Bay Drive, where you can admire breathtaking sunsets over Kitty Hawk Bay.

    Can’t stay an entire week? Mason's Beach House Getaway is available for short stays and offers flexible arrival/departure options for those who like to plan ahead. In-season partial week stays (three-night minimum) can be reserved months in advance, and guests can choose any day of the week for check-in and check-out.

Cleanliness

The home is beautiful, but the maintenance is just not there. Upon arrival, one of the bathrooms didn’t have toilet paper, I asked the company to provide me with some and they didn’t reply, I also asked about the WiFi because it doesn’t work whatsoever and I didn’t receive a reply about that until 2 days later. There was a cockroach on one of the towels, pet hair from the previous people, very Dusty, they offered to send a cleaning company but I was going to leave the next day so that was pointless. Trash bin was also full from previous people. Seems like the cleaning company just goes and does a quick clean, hadn’t even been vacuumed. Very beautiful home, nice driveway and yard.

Very clean and nice house

The house is very clean and nice. You ha e to cross a lot of traffic to walk to the beach but it is manageable. This is managed by a real estate management company which made things a little odd. They kept referencing the listing on their website even though I rented through VRBO. The VRBO listing mentioned a grill and a mini fridge (we were wanting both) but the grill was locked away and there was no mini fridge. When I asked they said the mini fridge isn’t listen on their site. I didn’t book through their site. They came and got out the grill from the locked outdoor closet the second day but it was too late as we had to cook the protein we had brought with us the first night. They remedied this one issue but took a “tough luck” stance on the other. Also the neighbor next door has a bully mix that he lets run free. The dog seems ok and it’s not really within the property owners control but some renters might be worried with their small dogs.
