Wonderful Family weekend

Our family enjoyed a wonderful Father's Day weekend at Into the Mystic. The house is located directly down the street from the Avalon Pier that hosted music every night and it is an easy walk to the beach which was great. The house was comfortable and offered a great place to end the day by enjoying the evenings together on the covered porch. We would recommend this house to anyone that is looking for a great location and easy access the the beach!

Wonderful!

Wonderful large house. Plenty of space, large rooms, 3 decks and 3 bathrooms was a plus. Easy process to grab and return keys to the property manager. Seemed like we may have been the first stay of the season as though most was clean the floors were covered in dust and dirt - I had to purchase basic cleaning supplies to take care of it ourselves. But left a comment so hopefully they will take care of it for the next renter. Easy walk to the beach and pier. The pier arcade keeps the kids busy while the adults can grab a drink with a view. Large kitchen was full of supplies you may need to feed the family. Or quick walk to Awful Arthurs for dinner out. Would definitely rent again!

The house is nice and big. FYI the house is dog friendly and within walking distance to the beach, but the beach isn't dog friendly. We rented this property because we wanted to be a few steps from the beach and bring our dog, instead, we had to drive to Kitty Hawk beach every day. Also, this property is not contactless check-in and check-out, you have to actually go to the Carolina Shores office to pick up and drop off keys. You are better off just renting it straight from them because VRBO will charge you $263 just for using their app, ridiculous.

Kill Devil Hills Stay

The property was just as expected. As clean as any unit would have been that actually didn’t allow dogs like this one did. The cleanliness impressed my parents even, who are a bit picky. We love this area of the beach since it is central to everything, including what Kitty Hawk and Nags Head has to offer.

Birthday Vacation

Great location! Plenty of room for all that stayed. Kitchen was great for fixing food for all to enjoy either in the house or on the front deck.... Enjoyed short walk to the beach for long walks, even collecting sea shells.

Beach our happy place

Family Getaway

Our getaway consisted of my 7yo, our 8yo dog, my husband and I. We enjoyed some of the comforts of home, while being in close proximity to the beach. A couple things to be aware of - all hardwoods and tile except for the stairs, which were a little steep and carpeted. The beds were not the most comfortable - mainly a mattress on a metal frame. Lots of seating options, and the kitchen was well stocked which was very nice. We enjoyed the main deck with a large porch swing most days/nights. And the Kill Devil Hills beaches are always welcoming and perfect for collecting shells!

Great, relaxing stay

My husband and I, our adult kids and our fur babies loved our stay at Knight’s Getaway. The property was exactly as advertised and was a bit nicer than we expected. It was bright, comfortably furnished and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. A few minor repairs were needed to malfunctioning blinds, etc. but everything was in good working order. The blender was broken, and the property management company Immediately offered to replace it. Lots of clear instructions on maintaining the house were onsite. Hardwood floors and laminate flooring made the house easy to keep clean. The outdoor shower was great for clean up and storing beach supplies. The three decks were great and had good seating although we needed to pull a few inside chairs outside when we all wanted to sit together and enjoy the views. The downstairs laundry “mud room” was super convenient. There was kind of a moldy smell and dampness in the lower kitchen cabinets, but beach houses are sometimes like that. Our only complaint was the charcoal grill. It is a a super durable, stationary grill like you would find at a campground or state park. And I understand that that is good for the property owner, who doesn’t need to bear the expense of repairing or replacing it. But my husband loves to grill, and the size and set up of this grill took away quite a bit of the pleasure. We would consider renting a large grill if we stayed here again. The house is about a short block and a half from the beach...so very convenient. Awful Arthur’s beach shop was a great place to get ice and other necessities. We wished they would have served their steamed and raw bar food at their outside picnic tables, but only take out, fried food was available. We were unwilling to eat inside during covid. So we ordered takeout from I Have Your Crabs which is a short drive away. The crabs, clams and oysters were amazing. So fresh! And we enjoyed them on the deck. If you plan to order blue claws, plan to do it a day ahead of time. They run out. Also we ordered pizza from Slice the day we arrived. It took two hours. So order ahead of time for this as well. Supermarkets were super clean and taking lots of safety precautions all around town. Some of the shops were less cautious. We saw quite a few chin masks! Ah well. Overall, a great stay. We’d love to come back sometime post-Covid and try out some of the awesome restaurants. A nice place!

Great place made for a great week!

We had a great time at Knights Getaway. The house was adorable and meet our needs very well. Kitchen was well supplied, there was plenty of space for everyone and the different living areas allowed for us to spread out and enjoy different activities. The Carolina Shores staff was fantastic to work with. Trying to figure out when we can return!

A very nice house that we would stay at again!

The property was a short walk to the beach and the pier was right there. A great beach area because you are away from the hotels where there are more people on the beach near the hotels. So much quieter at this location. Outside yard was clean and pleasant with 3 deck areas. Landscape crew mowed the yard while there as some other houses didn't maintain their lawn. Management Co was very easy to deal with and were always helpful with questions and answers. House is a short drive to the restaurants and stores. Wright Bros Museum is a close drive. You need to bring your own beach chairs and stuff for the beach, which we did. House rental was worth the cost. We would stay again.
