“We came across this place purely by chance, as we had a day in hand while driving across the state and were simply looking for somewhere with an outdoor pool for some R&R. What a find, and rather better than some random Hampton Inn!!!
It's a beautiful place and even us jaded Brits were impressed with the historic house, the decor and the setting. The hosts were attentive and friendly but, with no other guests there, we really felt we had the place to ourselves. Would highly recommend.”

“This is a beautiful property both outside and in. The proprietors were friendly and respectful. The pool and patio with the surrounding gardens are very peaceful and relaxing. The house is well insulated for noise. We didn’t know there were 6 other people staying there until we met them in the dinning room for a delicious breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and, have already told our family and friends to stay there when traveling in the area. ”

“I picked this hotel on a trip to visit Dickinson College with my teen and it was so much less expensive than the hotels in Carlisle proper. We were coming in late - after 8 p.m. - and I had to call ahead of time to get my room number and access to the key. The person on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. We found our way there on one of Pennsylvania's many winding little roads (that led right into Carlisle, about 10 minutes away). There were lovely snacks in the room that were devoured...

“This hotel has so much to offer at a reasonable price. The room was incredibly clean and fit our family of 5 without feeling squished. The bathroom had all Dove products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap AND lotion!) which was a nice and surprising touch. Breakfast was great; very clean all around the food areas and the staff were out in the breakfast area a lot checking on stock and restocking as needed. The pool was a good size and the pool area felt comfortable. It was convenient...
