“it was the worst experience in my life. I am not scared of the atmosphere of living plant and animal nature, I love it. but when there is dirt and terrible chaos around, garbage is lying around the territory and you are met by a man in terrible dirty clothes… I felt dangerous and wanted to run away. the road to the hotel is terrible and has one-way traffic. swamp and darkness. I have no idea what to do if someone comes the other way. feeling unsafe and dirty. we said that we did not want to stay...

“Hot tub was nice. Handy to have the flipflops. Quiet. Enough room facilities. Bed comfort nice. Parking great. Easy 2min walk to pubs/food. Preferred the feathers pub next door and breakfast at the old police station. ”

“Cosy old inn with a lovely atmosphere. Room was nice with a great walk-in shower. Friendly staff, great food and dog friendly. Perfect location for exploring Dartmoor. Would happily return.”

“Perfect location! Can't beat it - such a pretty place. On our check in, there was live music so couldn't even get into the pub to check in. Given the rooms are upstairs, an early night was not on the cards. Breakfast was good. ”
