  • Lower Coombe Royal è stato costruito da Roger Bond Luscombe nei primi anni del 1900 dopo che Combe Royal, la vecchia dimora a nord di noi, è stata fortemente danneggiata dal fuoco. La proprietà Lower Coombe Royal è nascosta tra ettari di giardini storici ai margini di Kingsbridge, nei pressi di Salcombe, a South Devon, a 2 minuti dal fiorente centro commerciale del mercato. La casa di Devon Coach di 200 anni è annidata nella valle, nascosta nella sua radura privata. Si trova ai margini del frutteto di mele e lo storico American Garden. Questo accogliente cottage in pietra con 3 camere da letto è il perfetto rifugio familiare. Vi offriamo pace e tranquillità, nonché avventure e sorprese nei nostri 8 acri di bellissimi giardini e boschi, tutti a cinque minuti a piedi dai comfort di Kingsbridge e dieci minuti di auto dalle bellissime spiagge sabbiose di South Hams. C'è una zona giochi e campo da calcio per tenere i bambini intrattenuti troppo.

    Il cottage dispone di tre camere da letto e due bagni, che possono ospitare fino a sei persone e una culla al nostro cretio. Si tratta di una casa di lusso - le camere da letto sono al piano di sotto e lo spazio abitativo open-plan è al piano superiore, da dove è accessibile la terrazza.

    La camera da letto principale è spaziosa e ha un letto king size. Il bagno è dotato di una spaziosa cabina doccia con sedile in teak. La seconda camera da letto ha due letti singoli che possono essere zip e collegati per fare un letto Super King. La terza camera da letto ha letti a castello ed è piena di giocattoli e libri per i bambini. Il bagno familiare ha un bagno e una doccia. Entrambi i bagni sono dotati di riscaldamento a pavimento, asciugamani riscaldati.

    Una robusta scala in legno edoardiano conduce alla luminosa, arieggiata cucina a pianta aperta, sala da pranzo e soggiorno. La cucina, la sala da pranzo e la sala sono comodamente combinati e open-plan. La cucina è ben attrezzata - gli armadi crema contengono un sacco di stoviglie, bicchieri e pentole per i pasti di famiglia, nonché altri gadget utili come un frullatore e una macchina da caffè Nespresso. La zona giorno dispone di divano comodo, nonché un tavolo da pranzo e sedie. Una porta stabile conduce dal salotto su una terrazza privata, circondata da camelie e vecchi meli, dove troverete un ampio tavolo in legno con sedie reclinabili, ombrellone e barbecue. Se preferisci una notte, c'è una televisione a schermo piatto con canali Free View e un lettore DVD. (È disponibile una gamma di DVD.) Great location for exploring the area. Lovely house and we enjoyed the wood fired hot tub which takes a couple of hours to get up to temperature. Only thing I’d change would be the towels- not enough and VERY small!!

Sunny break in Devon

The booking process was easy and the detailed information sent by Julie before we arrived was very helpful. The Coach House was well laid out and had everything we needed and is set in beautiful grounds. It is in a great location to explore the nearby coast. We will definitely return and recommend to friends.

Perfect break

We’ve just come back from this perfect hideaway. Everything that was needed was in close proximity of the property and the additional bonus onsite of children’s play area as well as the beautiful walk and the rope swings which the children loved! Julie and Paul were more than accommodating and great hosts! We’re in the process of rebooking!

Beautiful property set in glorious gardens.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. At the coach house. Owners were very welcoming. Ideally placed for exploring the beautiful surrounding beaches and villages. Property was well equipped, comfortable and our children enjoyed all the outside play equipment. We would recommend this property and look forward to staying again in the future. What a beautiful house, everything as described and more. Set in serene, quiet woods, with lovely walks in the 8 acre grounds. The dog loved it. Cleanliness was of the highest quality. The house had a warm and cozy feel to it, we wanted to stay longer. The hot tub felt luxurious and every need was met. Julie and Paul were the best hosts and could not be more helpful. We will definitely be back soon. We have found a wonderful little gem in a beautiful part of Devon. This House come highly recommended and deserves the rave reviews. 5 Stars .

The towels provided smelled damp, even after repeated washing.The shower screen in the family bathroom was ineffective, causing water to soak the floor beside the bath.No parasol was provided, despite the website stating that one was available. When we asked about this, the host was not helpful.There was only enough outdoor seating for four people, and the same was true indoors, although the property accommodates six. This contradicts the images on the Vrbo listing.The Vrbo listing advertised an “on-site fitness centre – a rare find - enjoy convenient access to fitness facilities.” When we enquired, we were told there was no such facility on site.During our stay, we found wet patches in several areas on the ground floor, particularly in the bedroom nearest the front of the property, where black mould and a discarded item were also present. Please see the attached photos.Two radiators were leaking: one opposite the main bathroom and one in the bunk-bed room.Vrbo stated that there would be a large wooden garden table, reclining chairs, and a parasol, but these were not provided.The Freeview TV did not work. We bought an aerial connector, but it still did not find any channels, so we had to use BBC iPlayer and Prime Video instead.The climbing frame was out of order.The Vrbo listing stated, “The third bedroom has bunk beds and is full of toys and books for the children,” but no toys were available.Host responded positively to much of our feedback so worth checking out.

Lower coombe Royal The Coachhouse

The Coachhouse was very comfortable with great beds and bedding, nestled among a rural woodland as described and a very peaceful setting. Julie and Paul extremely helpful hosts, Paul went way beyond by towing the car from it's position after getting stuck between two edging logs, it was a cold Sunday morning! A lovely stay overall.

Lovely time, would stay again

We loved our stay in the coach house. The property was a lovely standard and modern but still charming. All the beds and bedding were comfy, and the showers too. The house itself is in a unique little mini site which was great for our dog to explore, and beautiful for us to stroll through too. The garden patio was great for BBQs and evening drinks, but we did need to block the patio sides a bit so our dog would escape and take himself off chasing rabbits! Makeshift gates did the job, but might be useful to have something there as we’d love to stay again. Also walking distance to Kingsbridge, easy parking, easy to find and close to lots of beaches and other beauty spots. We hope to stay again in the future!

Excellent location, and comfortable house

We had a lovely holiday in the Coach House. It was very well appointed, clean and the hosts, Julie and Paul, were welcoming and responsive. We found the living area of the house a little small for 6, but the bedrooms very spacious and the grounds delightful!

The Coach House

The Coach House has a great location in a private wooded estate on the edge of Kingsbridge (a 10 - 15 minute walk to the shops, cafes and estuary). The house is clean and well furnished and fitted out. We would recommend the Coach House as a great base for exploring Kingsbridge and surrounding south Devon.

Fantastic Weekend

The Coach House was a perfect retreat for a relaxing weekend. The property is lovely and set in the in the most beautiful grounds. We were so impressed with the house and standard of furnishings and equipment….we wanted for nothing. We’ll definitely return in the future.

Beautifully presented home from home

From the booking process through to leaving this property, our experience has been excellent. The property is beautifully presented and decorated, with everything you could possibly need for your stay provided. Items from furniture and linen through to kitchen appliances were of a high quality and the host even left us some freshly baked cookies for our arrival. We had a wonderful weekend based at the Coach House, which was set in beautiful and tranquil surroundings. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Spacious detached home in beautiful surrounding, and the location is excellent.

Really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is well equipped and in beautiful grounds, and Kingsbridge is ideal located to visit the surrounding areas. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic place to stay

The property was excellent, comfortable and clean with plenty of space inside and outside for 6 people. Julie was really helpful all the way through and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Kingsbridge.

Beautiful little cottage and property!

We stayed for 2 weeks and loved every second of it! The house was well stocked for the basics we would need, had toys and books for our kids to play with. The playground and soccer field on property were great! And the town area was gorgeous. Beautiful place to stay. Owners were so nice and even had a welcome treat waiting for us.

Beautiful property, beautiful grounds

We stayed as a family group for the weekend whilst attending a wedding nearby. It made for a lovely base and great getting-ready abode with cosy underfloor heating in the bathroom and good mirrors! haha! Lots of room for all 6 of us to snuggle around Eurovision on the sofas afterwards, eating the scrumptious home made treats provided by our hosts. Would love to return to see the beautiful gardens through the seasons!

We had a great stay, kids loved the grounds. House was clean, comfy and well equipped. We didn’t need a thing. Really well placed for Salcombe. Will definitely be back.
