  • Come unwind at the home of August Ciderhouse on the Kitsap Penninsula. This newly renovated house with attached barn is 2 acres of rural, easy to access bliss. Enjoy some downtime in the adirondacks, have happy hour in the barn, or snuggle up for a movie night - it's all waiting for you.

    Make this farmstay your homebase to explore Western Washington - the ferries to Seattle and Edmonds are just a mile away, and the Olympic Peninsula and National Park are just a 20 minute drive.

    The space
    The entire house was recently renovated. This is not a primary residence and the entire space is just for you - so no weird surprises behind these closet doors!

    The king and queen bedrooms have new mattresses.

    The well equipped kitchen is ready for you to cook at your leisure. We've provided everything you should need to feel right at home. Dine at the 6 person kitchen table or the farm table in the barn.

    Enjoy a cozy night in watching Netflix or Prime upstairs in the loft - Roku guest access is provided for you to link to your own streaming accounts. The kids will enjoy watching from the nook behind the sectional.

    The barn is a beautiful indoor/outdoor space and the entire first floor of the barn is available for your use. It's perfect for meals, games, and lounging.

    Relax outside soaking up the idyllic scenery from the adirondacks on the lawn and pick blackberries in the summertime.

A very comfortable inviting retreat with everything we could wish for. We especially enjoyed the yard with the birds and lush green, as we are from Denver. We hope to return for our Christmas visit next year!

We spent two nights at the Ciderhouse while in town for a wedding. Everything was great, from the comfortable bedding to the beautiful grounds. This property is a gem!

An oasis in the forest!

Can’t beat the beautiful interior design of this rental! Very cozy! It was a short drive from Kingston but felt like you were in the middle of the woods. We had several deer in the yard to greet us each morning. Excellent communication from the owners. Would stay again.

Perfect Solitude

We absolutely loved this property. Everything was as listed. The hosts were very friendly, communicative and made the whole process easy and intuitive. We were coming home from Vancouver BC and this was the perfect retreat after a big city, quiet, private and relaxing. The house was awesome, clean and had all the right essentials. Would definitely recommend as well as stay again.

Beautiful getaway

We stayed for a weekend, attending my brother-in-law’s funeral nearby. Some of the family members came by for a couple hours between activities. Everyone was so impressed with the home. It’s very clean and roomy. The loft was perfect for a basketball game, and sitting out on the lawn was peaceful and quiet. Just what we needed as a getaway retreat.

Kingston family visit

We had the most wonderful time at the Retreat! The accommodations were ideal for us and the proximity to our son who lives in Kingston could not be better. Lovely retreat!

Cozy, clean, well stocked retreat tucked away. Wonderful layout and plenty of room for the two of us. Well stocked kitchen, cozy TV nook, and all the amenities, including extra towels and washer/dryer. One note, photos of the property online show an open barn flex space, brightly light from inside. We imagined opening the barn doors and enjoying the night air, however the doors are padlocked (understandably, as there is property inside.) Would have been a lovely option. Great hosts, great stay!

A Lovely Retreat

The moment you drive up the driveway you know you are in for a special treat and a superb stay! WOW! This is the best VRBO! Amazing peaceful location with easy access to the Kingston/Edmonds ferry, Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island (with ferry connections to Seattle). The property itself is straight out of a storybook! The attached barn makes for a unique architectural aesthetically pleasing design. Inside the home is very welcoming with its beautiful farmhouse style and minimalist decor (which I love), great light exposure through the huge windows overlooking the spacious yard with deer & bunnies, cozy TV area perfect for rainy nights to curl up and watch a movie, well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds and Adirondack chairs outside to enjoy evening chats and morning coffee. Thank you for the lovely stay and the local craft cider!

Lovely quite location right near the ferry, and a quick drive to so much around Kingston. The hosts were kind enough to accommodate our last-minute reservation request, and we arrived to find a delightful home that worked well for our family of four, including two small kids. While there are only 2 true bedrooms, there are flexible options for a toddler. We ended up putting a pack-and-play in the windowless corridor between bedroom 2 and the laundry, and it worked perfectly for us. If your kids need dark rooms I recommend bringing one portable blackout shade as the shades in the bedrooms are not darkening in the summer.There's a nice set of misc toys for smaller kids that kept ours very well entertained, items like a high chair and step stool, and they loved watching a movie in the upstairs loft before bed. The property is beautiful - recommend picking up a toy or two at nearby Grocery Outlet and letting your kids have the time of their lives running around the yard :) Would (and probably will) stay again!
