Situata in una posizione tranquilla nella cornice più straordinaria, questa eccezionale casa vacanze è immersa in 4 acri di terreno e si affaccia su un piccolo lago. La proprietà al piano terra è stata arredata e attrezzata di buon livello ed è nascosta in una stradina di campagna nella splendida Eden Valley. L'abbondanza di fauna selvatica è attratta dall'acqua e la vista attraverso le grandi finestre di vetro dal soggiorno attraverso il lago è deliziosa. Ci sono aree salotto sparse per il lago per rilassarsi e guardare. Nelle vicinanze si trova la tradizionale città di mercato di Kirkby Stephen, che è stata la prima città della Cumbria ad essere accreditata con 'Walkers are Welcome'. Ci sono molte opportunità per passeggiare e andare in bicicletta nella zona, oltre alla famosa e scenica linea ferroviaria Settle to Carlisle che attraversa Kirkby Stephen. L'Eden Valley è in una posizione ideale per visitare il Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Teasdale e Durham, il Vallo di Adriano e il confine scozzese. Negozio, pub e ristorante 3 miglia.

The cottage was clean and tidy.

The cottage was clean and tidy. It felt like a well loved home. The view onto the lake in the garden was lovely and it attracted plenty of wildlife for us to watch. With no real light polution the night skys looked great. The area directly around the cottage was quiet, a real escape. A short drive away you will find pubs, cafes and local/high street name shops. Glass and crockery needs updating. Lovely house worked very well with the family and the outside was fabulous when the sun shone! Super quiet location, the Lake was a wonderful feature. We were a little concerned about the ease of access to children not being sure how deep the water was and our ability to retrieve a child who fell in. Overall excellent and would stay again. This is an outstanding property.

This is an outstanding property. It is extremely peaceful and has fabulous outdoor space. The lake is stunning and is a source of quiet entertainment day and night, with geese, ducks and a whole varied birds. Plus rabbits and hedgehogs. A great feeling of spaciousness inside and out. Fabulous location.

Fabulous location. Peaceful & quiet. Convenient for The Lakes, the Yorkshire Moors, etc. Lots of local walks. Nice pubs, coffee shops, Chinese & Indian restaurants in nearby Kirkby Stephen. Complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk biscuits provided.

We had a fabulous holiday at Swallows nest and highly recommend it. Perfect cottage by the lake with wonderful views of the wildlife. Perfect for walks and cycling. Carol was very friendly and helpful. The fresh flowers, cookies and welcome pack was highly appreciated.We will definitely be back.

An amazing holiday cottage in a beautiful location.

An amazing holiday cottage in a beautiful location. Nothing around, peaceful and quiet. Wonderful stargazing on clear nights. The cottage has everything you could want and very clean. Every little detail has been thoughtfully provided. Beautiful scenic view from every window. In a convenient location for yorkshire dales, the lake district and county durham. Lots to see and do. Would definitely return and recommend.
