Questo splendido cottage è immerso in giardini paesaggistici in una graziosa cittadina portuale scozzese che lo rende ideale per coppie o piccole famiglie. Situato in giardini paesaggistici maturi, questo bellissimo cottage indipendente, adiacente alla casa dei proprietari, si trova a pochi passi dalla graziosa cittadina portuale di Kirkcudbright. Localmente conosciuta come la città degli artisti, Kirkcudbright offre numerosi festival durante tutto l'anno, tra cui serate scozzesi, raduni di auto d'epoca, passeggiate storiche, una fata medievale, un festival jazz e uno spettacolare tatuaggio, oltre a una buona selezione di pub e ristoranti. Con una grande varietà di attività all'aria aperta in offerta, tra cui la pesca, l'equitazione nel Galloway Forest Park, il ciclismo, il golf e gli sport acquatici, c'è divertimento per tutta la famiglia. Threave Garden and Estate, di proprietà del National Trust, si rivela una popolare attrazione per i visitatori. Dumfries si trova a circa 25 miglia a est e Castle Douglas è a 9 miglia di distanza, rendendo questa una base ideale per visitare il sud ovest della Scozia. C'è un fiume a 275 metri di distanza. Staying at Hameish cottage was a lovely experience, very clean and comfortable and little thoughtful touches were very welcome. Location was perfect for us, it is about a 20 minute walk from town which suited us very well. Also having the convenience of the bus stop a couple of minutes walk away meant we didn’t need to use our car that much at all. Despite being close to the main road into Kirkcudbright it was so peaceful and quiet, we didn’t notice the traffic at all. Good base for exploring the local area, great local walks and beyond. Close to the river, nice to experience the wildlife and scenery. Bed was comfortable and we slept well. Nice spacious bathroom and good to have the en-suite. Kitchen was really well equipped and very easy to use. Given the property and location value for money was very good. We are booking for next year!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay in this lovely cottage . Hamiesh cottage is equipped to a high standard, exceptionally clean and warm. The cottage sits in well maintained gardens with lovely views over the river and is very handy for exploring Kirkcubright and the surrounding area. Hameish is an extremely comfortable cottage and makes an ideal base for exploring the beautiful countryside around Kirkcudbright. The owners, who live next door, have put a great deal of thought into equipping the cottage and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived which was very welcome as we had been shielding throughout lockdown and this was our first break away. Milk and wine in the fridge and fresh flowers on the windowsill all contributed positively to the feeling of being made welcome on arrival. Although there are lovely views across the river from the car park and garden the cottage itself just looks onto the garden. It is an easy walk into town to the nearest shops. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped, wi-fi good and the T.V. and entertainment system better than home! We enjoyed a delightful week's stay and found the accommodation very comfortable with a great location. It is reassuring to know that COVID-19 precautions are being taken. It was lovely to find milk in the fridge, biscuits and a bottle of Proseco in the fridge! Beds very comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. Beautiful

A fantastic property with fabulous facilities. Kirkcudbright is a great little town and the local beaches are beautiful. There are so many interesting places to visit in this area- we definitely plan to come back
