I never met any staff but they were very responsive. The coffee/rec area was very nice. The rooms were very tasteful, clean, and comfortable. Great location. ”

“Clean, comfortable room. Quick,easy check-in. The hotel was quiet and we got a good night's sleep. The location is excellent, right on Rt.1. The included breakfast was good. Overall, it's basic, but a great value. I would definitely stay there again.”

The location is perfect: the Thaxter is in the heart of the old port city and you are surrounded by beautiful historic buildings, good restaurants and interesting shops.
