A Shore Thing In Duck: Oceanside, Private Pool

Long beach days are in your future when you arrive at A Shore Thing in Duck. Located in the Ocean Dunes community in Duck this home is located on the oceanside with quick, easy, and safe pedestrian access to the beach and the village of Duck. You’ll find a cozy living room that’s perfect for getting the whole family together to watch a movie! Make your way to the well-equipped kitchen where you'll find everything you need to make meals during your stay! When it’s time to chow down, there’s seating for 6 at the dining room table so everyone can catch up on their day or dine al fresco on the screened-in porch. ! It is the perfect place to spend precious time with family and friends. After a day at the beach or just relaxing in the pool you can easily stroll to Duck Village for shopping, dining, or to witness incredible sunsets over the Albemarle Sound!

The shopping centers of Scarborough Lane and Scarborough Faire are conveniently located at one end of this neighborhood and offer a wide array of fun stores and delicious eateries. The Duck Town Park and sound-side boardwalk are both a short stroll away, offering activities for the entire family.

No pets allowed - pet free. No smoking/vaping. Please refer to the Rental Agreement while reviewing Rules & Policies for pool opening/closing dates.

Cosa c’è nei dintorni?

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent location and house for our vacation

Nicely updated and equipped for a relaxing vacation. The pool was a perfect "pre-game" spot for morning chats, reading, and lunch before heading to the beach for the afternoon. Shopping and restaurants are literally a two minutes' walk away. The beach access was a bit longer walk, but straight up the street.
