Ti consigliamo di rimanere qui per sempre quando visiti Dean a Colony by the Sea. Questo condominio con 1 camera da letto e 2 bagni è il luogo perfetto dove soggiornare se si desidera che una coppia si allontani o si abbia un piccolo gruppo di 4 persone che vogliono rilassarsi e rilassarsi. Questo condominio di Duck, NC, dispone di una breve passeggiata di 15 metri dalla spiaggia in modo da poter trascorrere la giornata al sole e giocare tra le onde. Cosa c’è nei dintorni?

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Condo was perfect for us!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at your lovely condo. This was our first trip to the Outer Banks and we found our home away from home to be well equipped for convenient and comfortable living. We had no problem relaxing and enjoying our stay for the week. It was so nice to find the cleanliness of the condo was sufficiently tended to prior to our arrival and we sincerely appreciated that bedding and towels were all provided with the rental. We also appreciated the comfort of the bed and having two bathrooms to use. Even though the condo is not ocean front the view of the ocean from the balcony is really quite beautiful! We were so thankful to have had a beautiful week weather wise for early October which allowed for us to enjoy some wonderful walks on the beach, finding a few nice seashells along the way, and seeing some beautiful sunrises and sunsets!

Good cozy stay!

The condo was very comfortable with nice furniture in living room and comfy bed. Great to have 2 bathrooms - one being very updated, but the other needing some loving care. The kitchen was very well stocked to be able to cook. It looks like the property is doing some updating Aa the path to the ocean was very nice and hopefully they continue the update to other walkways. The pool was all updated and very nice. The beach was amazing! Very quite place and we would stay there again.

Comfy and cozy condo

As the title says it was very comfy and cozy. Having two bathrooms was a great feature. It’s only a couple minutes walk to the beach. The deck was our favorite place to sit, relax and eat our meals. Living room is well decorated and well lit for reading. All in all perfect for a couple. The kitchen is well equipped but a little crowded for more than one cook. Although my wife and I like lots of elbow room while preparing our food. We highly recommend staying there!!

Disturbing incident

It was all good until my 6th night of my stay…. A rat came out of our kitchen. This honestly and truly ruined our whole trip. We could not sleep or feel comfortable in the unit after the fact. This rat was definitely there before we checked in. I don’t feel they want to do anything to compensate this situation.

Issues needing to be corrected

The initial check-in process was a nightmare. The electronic door lock didn't work and a Maintenance person was dispatched. He replaced the battery that controls the lock. Then hours later the door lock didn't work again. A Maintenance person was dispatched again and he sprayed the keypad with WD40 and it worked during the remainder of our stay. As a result of construction changes to the deck above ours -no underneath ceiling - sand, dirt and water from drying clothes fell between the deck boards into our food, drinks and often onto us. We were on the 2nd floor and this was more prevalent when people would walk on the third floor deck. The dining room table was absolutely disgusting! It was so sticky even after cleaning it with Dawn dish soap. I placed dish towels as dinner mats and the fabric stuck to the table. I was concerned with the cleanliness of it. We could not eat at the table at all. The deadbolt on the inside of the front door did not work. The inside door lock on the slider door was missing. We made the best of it but the above items really need to be addressed before the next renter arrives.
