Rilassati sul ponte di notte dopo una lunga giornata in spiaggia, mentre osservi le stelle in una serata costiera nitida e chiara. Comodo per le famiglie con bambini, basta disimballare, rilassarsi e ricaricare! Molto comodo per due importanti campi da golf sulle Outer Banks, a pochi minuti da numerosi campi da golf della zona. Pesca al molo, shopping, film, attività per bambini, generi alimentari e ristoranti sono tutti a pochi minuti di distanza. Esplora lo storico Kitty Hawk Village, fai un tour in kayak serpeggiando lungo i canali o trascorri la giornata al Wright Memorial. Questa casa è situata in posizione centrale rispetto a molte attrazioni locali.

La storia dietro la nostra casa risale alla seconda guerra mondiale! L'atterraggio di Dolphin era un tempo quartier generale per la Marina degli Stati Uniti prima di essere trasferito sull'Oceano a Kitty Hawk. Con molti lavori di ristrutturazione, è ora, una meravigliosa destinazione di vacanza che è ricca di storia, ricordi e goduta con molti.

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Beach Baum

The location was centrally located to many shops and restaurants. The beach front property provided for great views of the beach and ocean. Everyone in our family was extremely happy. We will be looking forward to a return visit next summer. We are interested in a beach from property that permits pets, we missed our family dog this year.

Beautiful and Relaxing

We absolutely loved our stay at Beach Balm! We were so close to the beach, we practically felt like we were on the beach while sitting on the deck!There's a bit of a steep dune to climb, but that added to the privacy of the place. Most days, there was 50 yards or more of empty beach on either side between us and the next family on the beach.The new chairs on the deck were perfect for hanging out and enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean. The interior was well furnished and had plenty of space for our family of 5.Although the windows downstairs are not large, there are plenty of them, resulting in a lot of natural light in the home.And as far as location, there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. You've got a short drive to Duck, Kill Devil Hills, and other nearby areas with plenty of dining and entertainment options.

Family vacation

Great location with easy access to the beach. Kitchen was ready for all cooking we did for the week. No household disposable items included so be ready to purchase (paper towels, toilet paper, cleaners, etc.)

A wonderful week

Our family of 5 loved our stay at Beach Balm! It was the perfect little beachside oasis. The morning sunrises, frequent dolphin sightings, and the ease of going from beach to house was perfect with little ones. The dune was easy for us to navigate over but I can see how it would be challenging for some. We didn’t mind it at all! The A/C was nice and cold and the outdoor shower was warm and enjoyed by our kids. The couch in the main living area is upgraded from the listing photos and I wanted to share that it is really comfortable and our whole family could snuggle up and watch a movie on it in the evenings. Our favorite local spot was Art’s Place, which had a great live band on Friday night, and the food and drinks were awesome too. We look forward to returning to this property again next year.

Serenity Found at the “Beach Balm” in Kitty Hawk

My family employed staying at the “Beach Balm” last week. This home was directly on the beach and the sand dune separating the home from the beach wasn’t too bad to navigate. The greatest thing about this home was the beach facing deck where I watched the sunrise over the ocean every morning. I definitely recommend this vacation home.

Very relaxing!

This property was exceptional! Very clean, & bright, no clutter,, comfortable beds & sofa (easy to clean) & they allows dogs!! Great beach as it wasn’t crowded at all, very private. You have to climb up thedune to get to beach. It would have been great if a charcoal grill was available, might bring your own or a cheap disposable foil version. We ordered the linens & they were clean. The online & check in-out process was easy. Will return!

Pictures are not up to date. The level of sanitization and cleanliness of this home was horrific

I never thought in my wildess dreams we would have to DEEP, DEEP clean and sanitize a vacation home. Yes, they offered maids to come back out but at this point 6 peoples belongings, linens and accessories were already inside and this was a very small unit. No one maid in a few hours could do the level of disinfecting that we had to do. The first 4 to 6 hours of our stay, my whole family was cleaning. We wiped down the floors and counter tops and our swiffers were BLACK even after the 3rd round! All of the A/C units had so much sutt/dust/mildew on the vents, that blew directly on our faces in bed, we have to take all vents and clean them thoroughly. There was blood residue from previous renters. It was all around a very negative and uncomfortable stay as we all felt very dirty the whole time we were there. Your 200 refund was so gracious but was no where near what I would have expected for these living conditions that 1 maid couldn't do! That house needs a full makeover and DEEP disinfect/clean.

Disappointment

View and access to the beach was amazing. Deck with the two entrances and having gates that locked was fantastic. Bathroom and shower were clean. However... Soft spots in the kitchen floor...felt like you may fall through. Twin beds were box springs and not mattresses. Upstairs smelled like dog pee. Rental management came with a disinfecting machine that made the upstairs unusable for the next two days. Smelling the dog pee would have been better than chemicals. Huge bugs came crawling out after the chemical spray and were dying in the upstairs area. Kitchen sink very slow to drain. After I rented through VRBO, it was then disclosed that it was managed by a local company which had the property listed for rent with less fees. I could have saved $100s. And please cut back the bushes, as you can't see oncoming traffic when trying to pull out...even going forward.

Great location

Enjoyed the house! Can’t get closer to the beach. The upstairs sitting area was great to watch the waves, as we had high wind for part of our stay. My only complaint is that there is only one bathroom, downstairs, while the Queen bed and sitting room are upstairs. Could use a half bath, although room is limited. All in all a great time and I would stay here again.
