Heaven's a little closer in this charming cottage by the sea. Located near the heart of Duck Village with an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and the Duck Municipal Park (boardwalk, playground, picnic area, and entertainment.) The house is 600 yards from the beach with no streets to cross. Enjoy the view from the roof level crow's nest or relax in the shade on the porch swing or one of the rocking chairs. With over 1,800 square feet of living space, a second level great room, a ground level family room and den, there's plenty of space for the entire family.

Level 1:
Ground level: 1 car garage, laundry room with sink, ironing board and iron; den with flat screen CATV/DVD player; rec room with Foosball table, radio/CD/cassette player.

Level 2:
2 bedrooms (1 with Queen, 1 with Twins), full bath. Great room with vaulted ceiling, flat screen CATV/DVD player, Netflix/Roku free streaming movies on demand, stereo/CD with MP3/USB/Bluetooth

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Wonderful vacation

Such a wonderful house to stay in. Around A 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants and 10 minute walk to the beach. The house was clean and everything was perfect. We enjoyed our stay so very much and would definitely rent this property again.

Very nice house, great location

Very cozy house, takes no more than five minutes to walk to most of the restaurants in town, and around a 10 minute walk to the beach. Loved it!
