  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Good

We enjoyed our stay. The house needs to be cleaned better. Paying as much as we did, i did not expect to see a thick layer of dust on the lamps and wooden furniture, as well as ants in the kitchen.

Green house

Our stay was nice, you have to drive to the beach, the listing said the beach was 300 yards away, more like a mile. But there are plenty of free parking spots in early June. (Might be different in July or August). The regular coffee pot needs replaced, it doesn’t work well at all, we did use the Keurig. A could have the door shelve containers are cracked and need replaced. The leaves have not been removed and blow into the pool constantly. You would think the would have a vacuum for it. The inside is dated, but nice, we enjoyed the screened in porch. It is a nice neighborhood.

Green house

Checking in was easy and straight forward. Was given the wrong internet login and when called it was verified … still wrong. Had to speak to renternet to get correct login information and then internet was unavailable. Took a total of 6 phone calls to get it hooked up. Then sent someone in the middle of the day to fix, which kept us from enjoying the beach that day. It was a bit of a cluster. I would t have pursued it if I didn’t need to telework some. Otherwise, the house is cute. The pool area is nice. If you stay here, make sure you bring extra towels, the shower door leaks a lot of water on the floor. We are big fans of OBX and kitty hawk area and will visit again but likely with different rental company in hopes that the details are more accurate.

I loved this pool and house! The layout of the house is so convenient! The bathroom in the master bedroom could use some work that’s not so convenient. Other than that it was a great stay!

Great Vacation

House was clean and well maintained. Beautiful and quite location close to a cul-de-sac so no thru traffic. Pool was great, also very private and backing on to a golf course! Everything about this house was perfect

Great stay at the Green House

We enjoyed our short stay at the Green House. The great room is very spacious. It was nice that bedrooms and baths were on separate ends of the house for more privacy. All of the trees around the back pool area make it a very peaceful setting. We sure would love to return.

overall great home

The house was clean overall! The pool was a bit chilly. No heater available (even though it's Summer) would have been nice if the pool was in the sun for most of the day or even some of the day to heat it up. It only gets sun in the morning and thats it. Too many tree branches blocking sun. Quiet neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. It was a great trip with plenty to do even during the Covid nightmare! We did jet skiing, (first timers and it was awesome and scary for me anyway LOL).. dolphin tour was AMAZING at OBX Marina, we ate at several restaurants that were all pretty great with Henry's breakfast being our favorite!! We shopped at several small business shops to help support the owners during this time and they were all so friendly!! We did practice social distancing and mask wearing at every single place we went!! Would stay here again

Great getaway

We loved the Green House! It had everything we need- the pool And outdoor space were awesome. Location was great, very close to the beach and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again

2020 OBX Trip

This was our fifth consecutive annual OBX trip and each year we've been trying to stay in different parts of the islands. This was also our first time taking our dog with us. The house was perfect for our needs and we particularly liked having a private pool. We plan to stay in this home again next year if we can.

Paying attention to details makes a huge statement.

I will start by saying we had an excellent vacation and would definitely consider renting this property again. The downfalls are not enough to keep us away. Having said that, this house could use a good all-over cleaning. The windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. The enclosed back porch was filthy and the furniture around the pool was also filthy AND the grill had no propane. The mattresses in the twin room snd bunk room were old and uncomfortable. As a whole, all furnishings could be updated. All interior doorknobs were dysfunctional and need to be repaired or replaced. In reading previous reviews, it seems the owners are not listening to their renters.

Outerbanks Get A way

this was the perfect house for our needs.everything furnished and located in a location with privacy but within 5 minutes to beach activities and resturants and shopping.We loved the pool and the screened in porch overlooking the pool.The 2 car garage was a bonus also. we recommend this house to families with kids...did I mention it is pet friendly? we loved it!!
