Kiki's Retreat: Walk to Duck Village | Pets OK

Kiki's Retreat is the perfect home for vacationers who want to experience the town of Duck on foot or bike, while still having easy access to the beach!

Everything about this home is ideal for families with children or pets, from the pedestrian-friendly location and the comfortably casual furnishings, to the hardwood flooring and tile throughout. Two levels of wrap-around decks provide plenty of room for lounging and living your best outdoor life.

When you're not at the beach or exploring town, brush up on your air hockey skills in the game room downstairs, which also features a large sectional and wet bar making it the perfect room for teens, late night hangouts or an additional living space.

Situated in the Bayberry Bluffs community in the heart of Duck, Kiki's Retreat is within walking distance to the best shopping and dining in town, including The Waterfront Shops, The Blue Point and Tommy's Natural Foods Market & Wine Shop. Getting from the house to the beach will be a breeze using the wooden walkway located at the end of the street, exclusively for Bayberry Bluffs guests.

Cosa c’è nei dintorni?

  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Need better lighting on stairs. Yard needs maintenance. Dogs got sand spurs. Outdoor furniture in disrepair. Roof leaked in heavy rainstorm. Overall nice place but a little tired.

The kitchen was setup for cooking but the coils on the stove were partially working. Most meals were at local businesses. The location was excellent and convenient to the beach and the local Duck town boardwalk area. Local bike rentals were simple to rent via Village Realty. Cooling system needed filter replacements which will reduce load on the unit.
