OceanSound - 500 Feet to the Ocean in Duck, NC!

  • Perfect Carolina Dunes home located in Duck to accommodate your family and friends! Wrap around deck and windows to enjoy the ocean from all angles! Close proximity to the downtown shops & restaurants of Duck, Sanderling Resort, Corolla, Carova, yet also easy to head south to Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hills to make the most of your time in the OBX! The community is made up of 230 homes (mixture of owners and visitors), one mile North of Duck with access to both the Sound and Ocean!
    The space
    Walk up one flight of stairs to the second story level where four of the five bedrooms are located. Go up one more level to the open dining, living, well outfitted kitchen, and master suite at top level of the home. Two levels of decks facing the ocean for your maximum enjoyment of outdoors and the salty ocean breeze. The lower level deck does have coverage to provide a nice shady area to retreat to. The top deck is a great spot to soak up the rays!
    Four bedrooms have full ensuite bathrooms. The twin bedroom has access to a full hall bath. At top level off the dining room and close proximity to the porches is a half bath. At ground level outside under the home are additional shaded areas to retreat with swing, hammock, charcoal grill, etc.
    Guest access
    The entire space is available for guest use except for closets locked and labeled for owner and cleaner access only.

    Variety of used beach chairs, 2 kayaks, 2 stand-up paddles boards, 4 adult life preservers, 2 crab pots for sound use, a basketball and basketball goal, ladder ball. Big wheel beach wonder wheeler and beach wagon, Bluetooth stereo, porta-crib with sheets and baby blanket.

    Other things to note
    Kayak and SUP available for use at your own risk in addition to some extra beach chairs and toys for your enjoyment!

Perfect Location / Great Value

This was the perfect location for us. Convenient for access to restaurants and shops in Duck. The walk to the beach was short and easy even with kids and gear in tow. We had a small group for the weekend, but the house would have accommodated many more than my family. Perfect deck for enjoying your morning coffee and evening beverage with ocean views and breeze.

This house was a perfect find in Duck for a couple families with small kids. The bedroom and bathroom situation worked well, property was clean, and location was great. Two things really stood out tho. First, when the property listing says the kitchen is well stocked, it's not an exaggeration. There are plenty of pans, utensils, even a pitcher. Everything is super clean too. But the best was the communication from the host- responsive and helpful at every turn. Thanks for the great stay!

We and our kids Loved Ocean Sound!! It was spacious but, at the same time, had areas to gather so we could enjoy time together. The view was great, and the walk to the beach short. Beach chairs were available, which is a huge and rare bonus in a rental. The kitchen had everything we needed, and there was a huge dining table plus a smaller table for games/puzzles. There was also a nice selection of games; we played a hilarious game of Pictionary one evening. It's located just 1.5 miles from the Duck Waterfront Shops and about 15 minutes from the groceries and shopping in Corolla. We had a terrific time and made many wonderful memories!
