Our home is thoughtfully furnished with pieces I have collected from my travels around the globe. We adore the Outer Banks and wish to share it with you!
Our high-end furnishings will insure a comfortable nights sleep on a 20" thick ultimate mattress along with fine linens. The hand knotted rug was found in Turkey and our sleek rosewood bedroom suite was made for us in India.
This room is equipped with a Haiku fan on top of reclaimed teakwood planking. Plantation shutters on the windows offer complete privacy or pretty views of the tropical landscape.
We provide a Kerig Coffee Machine as well as a Mini Fridge and Microwave. For your days on the beach we have beach chairs and boogie boards available along with beach towels, umbrella and outdoor hooks to hang your salt-kissed wares.
After a long day at the beach, you can indulge in under the Hansgrohe rainshower in the travertine stone & beachglass tile shower.
I found our amazing Onyx sink during our travels in Indonesia. It sits on top of a 4" live edge tree plank. I love design and home furnishings (as you can see ;) and welcome you to enjoy our home!
The backyard should not be missed for a coffee or cocktail. The incredible tree canopy is cooling after a hot beach day. I love to landscape and be surrounded with the beauty of the Outer Banks. There is a lovely deck overlooking a lawn with a hill and canal to Kitty Hawk Sound below. You can often spot Ospreys gliding along in the canal with an occasional Otter, Heron or Mallard duck!
Walking distance to the beach, sound and several restaurants.
5 minutes to Kill Devil Hills, NC
8 minutes to Nags Head, NC
15 minutes to Duck, NC
20-30 minutes to Corolla and Carova's Wild Horses
30 minutes to Manteo waterfront and Elizabethan Gardens
Guest access
You will have full private access to your room via the exterior entrance. Two teak chairs are placed right outside your room along with cleat hooks to hang your sandy items and beach gear.

Please use the hose that the driveway to rinse off sandy toes and suits an leave coolers outside.

The top decks are private spaces.
Other things to note
We have a very friendly dog named Sophie. We do not allow her in our Airbnb rooms. We also live in the main house so you may hear some noise from us or our other Airbnb guest as we have two total Airbnb guest suites.
You may also see our friendly free-range chickens roaming the gardens and our ducks swimming in the canal! All very friendly and relaxing to watch!
